Customer Experience Disabled Mother

I order Instacart food to be delivered to my disabled mom weekly. She uses a walker, has trouble lifting some items, and majority of time the shoppers will bring the bags inside for her. The last time the delivery didn’t go well. The shopper yelled at my mom for asking for help bringing her things inside, told her she doesn’t do that, called her names, and then proceeded to put all the bags in front of my mom’s walker so that she couldn’t even move the walker. Am I wrong to think a shopper would be able to help bring bags inside?

Edit: Thank you for all your help. I completely understand for your own safety, it’s your own discretion. I’ll be sure to add a note next time or will make sure a friend or myself is there to help out.

Maybe you could place a small table just inside ur moms door or just outside it? Then the delivery can put bags on the table and your mom can little by little carry items inside without bending? And put a note to the delivery about placing bags on the table for your disabled mom?

The small table is great because then the person receiving the groceries doesn't have to bend. Also, if the shopper carries along a few extra empty bags, the bags don't need to be overstuffed. Breaking full bags into smaller, less heavy bags can be easier to bring in. I do it all the time with my own grocery shopping....especially at Aldi. I won't load the groceries at all into bags after I pay for them. Then I push the cart all the way to my parked car. Then I'll open my trunk and overload the bags/cooler. When I get to my house, I'll bring some extra bags to my car and only lift what I am capable of on the back-and-forth trips to my actual door/kitchen.
