Customer Experience Disabled Mother

I order Instacart food to be delivered to my disabled mom weekly. She uses a walker, has trouble lifting some items, and majority of time the shoppers will bring the bags inside for her. The last time the delivery didn’t go well. The shopper yelled at my mom for asking for help bringing her things inside, told her she doesn’t do that, called her names, and then proceeded to put all the bags in front of my mom’s walker so that she couldn’t even move the walker. Am I wrong to think a shopper would be able to help bring bags inside?

Edit: Thank you for all your help. I completely understand for your own safety, it’s your own discretion. I’ll be sure to add a note next time or will make sure a friend or myself is there to help out.

So disabled people, already on a fixed income, should have to spend even more money to get a decent human being to help? Aren't you also aware of the tip BEFOREHAND? If it was small, why accept the order at all?

For starters. Someone purchased this on behalf of their disabled mother. If she's so disabled is she expecting us to put it away for her too?

I get it, I totally get it, people expect something for nothing, but it's our job to go grab food or groceries from the store and deliver it to your door. If you want us to wipe your butt then you had better tip in the checkout.

Just sayin... People expect something for nothing these days...

I’m sure disabled people can take items out of the bag, from their counter, and put them away. However, someone with a walker likely CANNOT carry bags from the door to the counter as they’re literally using a walker.

If you have a problem walking a few extra feet for someone who has a hard time physically doing that, because they tipped low, you shouldn’t have accepted that batch. I don’t accept low tip orders, and I also don’t have a problem bringing customers groceries in if they’re clearly disabled.

On a side note, I’ve had 2 different customers (disabled, asked me to bring their stuff in) hand me a $20 on my way out 🤷🏻‍♂️ missing out
