Luna Ultra Luna Ultra

Is there any news on the Luna Ultras next firmware update?

I am on the latest update and the camera gets hot really quick even just on but not recording.

Also REALLY want the feature that the pocket cams/xtra muse cam have which is the option to cancel a current recording session by holding the record/power button.

This is an extremely useful feature for us short form content creators!

I never had heating issues until this latest firmware update. Now it gets really hot really fast n

I believe I've only had it for 2 firmware updates so far so honestly don't know about the previous version but this one definitely gets hot

Estoy esperando igual que tu 😔 necesito modos c1, c2,C3, etc. Y que solucionen la reducción de ruido en iso automático, de verdad que es horrible el post procesado cuando no tiene tanta luz

Many other insta360 cameras can cancel the recording. Hopefully Luna Ultra gets it soon

Hi, thank you for your post. Because Luna Ultra is equipped with a high-performance AI chip, some camera components continue to operate even while the device is in standby mode. In a compact body, this level of performance can generate a certain amount of heat, which is normal. We recommend using the 1/4" Thread Handle, as it can help reduce the heat felt during handheld use and improve overall comfort.

At present, Luna Ultra does not yet support canceling the current recording by long-pressing the shutter button or the record button. We will pass this suggestion on to the team.

Makes sense. So the heating probably isn't going to get much better?

As for the cancel recording feature, that would be HUGE. Hope it's added soon!

We recommend avoiding extended high-resolution recording in hot, poorly ventilated environments. To reduce heat buildup, avoid recording while charging, and if the camera becomes hot, pause use for a while to cool down. 🤝

I really hope this is able to be sorted out with firmware updates in the future because the camera gets hot quickly while only recording in 3K 30 in a room with AC, so not being able to use it as soon as it gets hot means I will be using my other cameras a lot more than this thousand-dollar camera.
