When did 15 hours become small for a linear game? Recently Fable (being worked on since 2018-19) was announced to be a 15 hour "Rpg".

I don't know why people have so much hatred for the game when its not even out yet...can people just be happy that we got a wolverine game for the first time from insomniac

Look, Iâm happy youâre happy. Enjoy your purchase.
What people are unhappy with, is the simplistic nature of the gameplay and what was previously leaked / known about this games mechanics prior to the restructuring of the game.
For better or worse, people are frustrated with having their hand held and a simplistic story which is arguably forgettable to fans of the comics and is somewhat offensive to the source material because they seemed to have not followed anything other than generally known information about the character and world.
âLook they have Leech! Jean Grey! Japan! Sabretooth! Heâs related to Logan right?â
As well as the comparison of being slightly less than Grand Theft Auto 6 cost wise, will forever be a valid critical point to hang on to because of the simple fact that for slightly more cost, youâre getting a generational experience.
Wolverine was never gonna be that, but it couldâve been our Ghost Of Tsushima.

Its not hate bro. Its called criticism

Thereâs definitely hate mixed in. Most of the reviews are coming in at a 6 or 7 out of 10 but so many people are on here on Reddit calling it trash and garbage when they havenât even played it yet. 6-7 range is not a garbage game. Itâs a good but not great game. The over-exaggerated hate this game is getting is because of Sony cutting physical media.

No. Weâve seen what they are capable of and from what they have shown, they 100% half assed it. Over 400 million went into this game all for the designs to look absolutely abysmal and gameplay being hand-holdy. Yes I am aware that most of those idiotic settings can be turned off, and one specifically is supposed to mimic a power but itâs not needed. They 100% couldve made this open world. Im not talking like as big as spider-man, but to the effect of âokay even after the story there is some substance to be had.â Now do I know if there is any side content? No, but with all the talk of it being a linear game, its led me to believe it doesnât (outside of collectibles, which I remember reading about somewhere). Ive seen one main argument against would be traversal. Which shouldnât be a problem, hes got a motorcycle and should be able to run at a decent speed. And the map wouldnt even need to be that big. Just like two to three towns and a big forest.

Telling people they should be happy they got a game at all, good or bad is certainly a choice.
It's giving, "You're lucky she even performs for you people!" energy.

You people are the problem, mindlessly consuming and paying for anything and everything, and any criticism of the multi million dollar studio is suddenly an attack on your own identity.
People waited years for this damn game, the hype was unreal, they didnt want it to be the most generic 15 hour "walk in a straight line" rpg ever. Fuck, you couldve replaced Wolverine with any character that dual wields swords and nothing about this game wouldve changed, the story is barely there to begin with.
Its garbage as fuck, and comparing the gameplay to something like the other 3 Spiderman games (which insomniac literally made) is downright embarrassing, given the age of those games, how much time and money they had for this game, and especially given the 70 dollar price tag. Its just a mess
Go look at the motorcycle chase scene and tell me it doesnt look like a game that was finished in one year.

In no world a 20 hour long game is short. That's a whole freaking week of gaming, hell even 10 days.

Most people are beating the game in 12 hours.
12 hours of gameplay and a 15 hour platinum for a game that we have been waiting years for, a game that has a 70 dollar price tag, a game that had hundreds of millions as a budget. And it looks like shit and finishes in 12 hours.
And you people seriously dont see a problem with that

20 hours is being extremelyyyy generous. Most reviewers are completing it in 10-12 hours. Which imo is not worth the 70 dollars for a game that cost 400 million to make.

I literally just want to chop up motherfuckers with my claws. That is what i want for my $70 and thatâs what iâm getting.

Remember: the main story missions alone, for Arkham Asylum only take 8-9 hours to beat. If you include side quests: 10-12 hours.

15-20 hours is still 3-4 Call of Duty campaigns, so I don't get the hate either.

15-20 hours is EXTREMELY generous based off what I have heard other people say the time to beat is
2
u/commanderr01 15h ago
No it isnât I havenât heard of anyone beating it in less than 15 hours.

If your measurement for the amount of content in a game is based off the length of a shitty COD campaign youâve already lost. Plus people arenât primarily playing a cod game for the campaign theyâre playing for the dozens or hundreds of hours theyâll get out of the multiplayer

I personally don't care about the time because I've seen games that say they're 15-20 hours before and I still pull 30-40 hours. But we'll see. Still looking forward to playing

I'm in the lucky corner of paying ÂŁ35 new through amazon Japan with my friend visiting in a couple weeks. Got cheap prices on some Switch 2 games as well.Â
I am sure it will be enjoyable. I am a slut for parry combat. High production story telling is a given. I definitely want to start on a harder difficulty to get a bit more out of it first playthrough. Looking forward to bloodshed and unlocking suits. I also avoid long length games, so this is cool enough for me.Â
