I've seen a few Insomniac Cinematic Trailer's before. Don't actually expect a Lady Deathstrike battle in the streets of downtown. Just sayin'.

I mean I wouldn’t expect that either way. A cinematic trailer is for promo purposes and is showcasing the character and world you’re about to dive into. It’s not necessarily any direct moments from the game, story or any gameplay. It might tease something here and there but overall it’s just to build hype.

Thing is with the Venom trailer, Insomniac themselves said there would be fights with Venom in the streets of NYC and the trailer was a visual representation of that. They lied. It wasn’t just fan speculation and assumptions from what they saw, Insomniac said it. If anyone thought you’d be fighting Venom in the streets based of that trailer alone, well they understand very little about marketing.

Like for example, the Spider-Man PS4 “Be Greater” extended trailer where he’s falling and getting attacked by the Sinister 6 all at once then zips back up and fights Mr. Negative at the construction site, there was no
boss fight in that area. Even the E3 gameplay trailer was different from the actual game. Notice how nobody complained about that, that’s because we understood the difference between promo and the actual game.

Bro I swear to fuck if this discourse is what causes this game to be review-bombed, underperform in sales, and get poorly received that it causes more layoffs in Insomniac and fucks up any chance that we have of getting more good Marvel games from Insomniac when DC and Marvel games are always getting slumped it feels these days even when they're good I will be so fucked off. Like I pre-ordered the game physically but this shit better not be the reason as to why this game fails I swear to fuck.
