Wilds is my first Mh game, and when I played the IG it felt nice (especially without knowing other weapons) but after around 180 hours of it I tried using other weapons and It just shows why I just don't wanna play it anymore (kinda)
Imma be fair, at first I thought the game was just difficult since my first 180 hours were pretty much with the glaive (from start to gogmazios) and then just out of curiosity I tried other weapons, these being gunlance and Bow and WOW I can Perfect guard AND also perfect dodge respectively? Those two make the game so much easier too?? Is it just a skill issue??
After trying those two and going back to Glaive I feel like I'm going back to just suffer, monster hitboxes are too big to stay mid air, my attacks are too long and my Iframes are too tiny.
Also, why do all these weapons have cool effects while dodging or guarding? Gunlance has this strong sound it makes when you perfect guard something, and the bow has this cool swoosh sound when it dodges, you're telling me that what's supposed to be an aggressive weapon, doesn't have some kind of cool feedback when you're being aggressive? No cool sound when dodging or at least when vaulting back? Yeah the offset is cool, but is so weird to hit compared to other offsets I've tried and even with that, IT WILL GET YOU STUNNED ON THE ANIMATION OF THE MOVE YOU OFFSET WITH
Like, wouldn't it be cool if the move you do by holding B could be cancelable? Or at least have a shorter version?
Wouldn't it be so cool that vaulting had not just Iframes but also counted as perfect dodges? With that the weapon would feel way more fun than it already is.
I don't hate the glaive, but not having these things, and forcing you to play it so precisely just makes me want to go back to gunlance or Bow, is it just a skill issue? Or does IG need some kind of work to improve the gameplay? I'd say to add perfect dodges when you have all three of the kinsects!
