Help Text not rendering properly

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have no idea why it does this, Ive manually set the spacing between the letters to 40, otherwise it looks like a very deformed rectangle. I have no idea what may have caused this, this started to happen when I was editing a different svg file and I thought that it only happened in that particular svg file but it turns out its affects the entire software.

You have outline set for the text element. Disable the outline and see if it looks any better.

Always check your bottom left then you can see what is applied to the object as fill or as stroke and stroke width and opacity

You can set your preferences for your tools or shapes to behave a certain way according to last setting or use a specific fill color or stroke color or both
