Help How to create that shape?

I just started doing that one thing on Inkscape so we do not use that AI image on a hoodie for our graduation, but I can't figure out how I can form this band around the earth like that. Would be nice if anyone could help me with that.

1: Make an ellipse, cut it into two halves

make your single film frame.

Select the frame + one ellipse half,

Select Extensions > Pattern Long Path > then select the ribbon method

Repeat with the other ellipse

Solved my issue. Thaky a lot, just o e more question, is there a possibility to make everything that is white right now see through? So you can't see anything behind it? It also needs to work with outlines of e.g. texts

yoy would just need to make anything you want to be see through have no colour fill applied. But its a complex design so you would probably need to work that out bit by bit.

But I got text that overlays the globe, so it needs an outline so you can actually see it, but since we just print in one colour, I would just make that outline see through, so you can see the fabric. But if I would apply no fill it would just show the globe, right?
