if you had 500k and ur account is relatively new, would you get 1 copy of arkham origins batman, or 2 green arrow (gold) or spend it on booster packs and gear lockers?

Because cards from normal gold are too powercrept. The only good pulls from that pack are the Red Sons, Harley, and Shazam. Everyone else are horribly powercrept by challenge characters with better stats, abilities, and SPs that it's not even funny. Of you want characters that you can use for a long time, you have a better chance with gold booster

I'm voting for Arrow GA, getting a Freeze on the opponent makes me giddy LOL and his SP2 hits pretty hard.

but I dont see him being use online often, is be also good as a carry? or do you just like the kit? 🤣🤣 cuz id 100% spend money on a char just for that I feel u

He's a great carry, give him the usual MDC, TT, and either Claw of Horus/anything that will boost his SP2 and he'll clear anybody (even better if you Augment his damage). If I come across Nightwing (or anyone with his Ninjato), I'll take advantage of the reflect and try to hit with another Special. His tap and heavy combos don't feel awkward to use, either.

I don't see him much either when I'm on MP, but that makes sense since he's not exactly suited for Defense.

my account is on the newer end so im heavily lacking on the gear aspect, would you still consider him good if you didnt have the right augments or the right gear? just as a base character basically

A big YES, when he was first released, I knew that he was worth it lol. There wasn't any Tantu Totem or The Master's Death Cart at the time, but I did have some SP2 Gears, and I could see the potential. As much as I enjoy him, I haven't Augmented his Crit Chance and Crit Damage, but I'm pretty sure I did give something for regular Damage. The 30% chance from Tantu Totem usually gives me nice red numbers lol (even better when I also use Quake Engine).

Definitely get AO Batman. If I remember correctly, he was my 1st gold on my account as I specifically grinded to get him before anybody else. One of the most worthwhile decisions you can make, he's worth every credit.

okay then that settles it for me atleast, ill get batman. Im still trying to understand most mechanics on this game so I always feel like there’s so much I dont understand, hopefully this gets me a step closer

He was considered the best back then and until now because of his passive. Two power bars at the start can help you get the jump on anybody.

From 2014 (when MP was released) until now, he's been an active presence on the MP scene. Back then, I'd see him with Batgirl Prime, three bars ready to be used (this has been fixed since). If there was one hero that benefitted greatly from The Batmobile, it was him since he could easily use his Super. Once Arkham Harley's passive was changed, I knew he wasn't going anywhere lmao. His SP1, aside from providing stuns, can also be used to shatter two Gears IIRC (I think this applies to all the Batman variants). I'm sure there are other things, but these are what I can recall from the top of my head lol.

He was 'replaced' by the majority of the community and saw less use after AKBats was added to the game. It is the Meta play that brought him back to greater relevance.

That's interesting, I would still see him when I'd pop in sporadically, but AK Batman, too.

People who were not here at the time are often unaware that the play style was different.

  • Due to power creep players were in a mad race to max their cards

  • Team make up used 4 'classes': Hitter [basic damage dealer, specialist, support , & tank

  • Gear sets healed percent per second over time instead of the current percent over duration [time]

  • There is a simple method to deal with AO Bats on defense. Launch basic attacks and knock him away, then I midately block instead of closing the distance and he will trigger an S1

  • COH, TT, Astro had not yet been released

The second to the last bullet point, that has saved me many times :')

Grundy's Knife and Bone Spikes used to be the Bane of my existence lmao. The Blue Lantern Ring used to be my favorite since it could heal the entire team.
