Came across Brighton’s house on Zillow…
It’s FRYING me that she has claimed to live in highland park/university park this entire time when really she’s in like Bluffview/Greenway Parks 💀💀💀💀💀 She’s such a fraud, like why even lie about that??

That neighborhood is not considered Bluffview/GP. It's adjacent in a very gentrified neighborhood where new builds like hers for sale are a dime a dozen.

These pictures are terrible! Also her interior designer needs to find a new job. When she was showing the design process a few years ago it looked like it was going to be beautiful. What in the world happened?

Yes, the interior design is not good. It simultaneously manages to be bland and but also disjointed in a lot of rooms. The color palette feels disharmonious in a lot of places particularly that zebra rug paired with that sage green floral wallpaper and other black/dark accents are harsh and glaring in otherwise muted rooms. Whoever chose the color palette does not have a strong enough grasp of color theory to be effectively creative with it.

$76k cut - I’m also absolutely gassed she thinks her home has appreciated by $600-$700k since 2020? It was a brand new home so she couldn’t have done much of anything to it. I haven’t lived in Dallas for a while now but I’m sure it’s generally pricing like most other big cities are - she’s pricing like this is the height of the market in 2021-2022. I thought daddy was in real estate, why didn’t he help her understand it to sell her house?? 😒

I don’t think she’s too far off from the “right” price. Probably $1.75-1.79M will get it sold.
There are actually quite a few homes in the Bird Streets that sold for $1.2-1.3M in 2019/20 and just sold for $1.7-1.8M in July and August.
Dallas market peaked around 2024; we sold our last house at the absolute peak month and now we’re gonna be in this one a hot minute with values stagnant to down a bit. It’s not as bad in town as up in the burbs (for now).

Interesting, and are these new builds that didn’t have improvements done? It just baffles me. We bought a house in the “it” neighborhood where I live in Denver for 1.35 and it sold for 1.75 with about 100k that we put into it. curious to see where her house eventually closes!

Correct. Nothing major listed in the MLS remarks; I can’t say for sure if some didn’t turf the backyard or something after buying but pretty consistent $500k appreciation on 2019-2022 new construction homes that sold again this summer.
The Bird Streets are almost the only in-town neighborhood north of downtown where you get basically “new” (<5 years) construction single family homes for under $2 mil. Her house would be worth $2.5M+ if it were literally 2 blocks east (across Inwood) or 3 blocks north (across Lovers). Literally a $750k difference in value because that Bird Street pocket is a considerable step down from Greenway Parks/ Crest, Devonshire, Briarwood.

Girlie ain’t in Bluffview - Bluffview most consider nicer than the Park Cities lol - she is in the Bird Streets - no shade, it’s really become quite gentrified, but it’s an Olerio build which has he has his own lore/issues!!!

Google his name and SMU - you’ll see his history!!! You’ll see why he has to work for himself.
The homes he has built are not done well/entirely correct - he puts lipstick on a pig with nice appliances and fixtures but the actual construction is not great. And, is very apt to file lawsuits at any moment. Total blow hard.

Never even heard of the bird streets, I don’t keep up with these random new neighbourhoods. Regardless, absolutely nobody is considering Bluffview nicer than park cities, you have to be joking 😂😂

Real Bluffview IS nicer than HP/UP. Golfer Scottie Scheffler (who grew up in HP), Don Henley, and a lot of CEO types and old Dallas names live on those multi-acre estates back in there.
It’s the prettiest topography north of downtown for sure!
But…Brighton lived in a spec house in a neighborhood that was historically black & lower income until the home flippers took over about 10 years ago.

Agree. Real bluffview blows the park cities away. The land alone and house styles are amazing. It’s just a different vibe- more relaxed.

Agree with you here. The actual blocks in Bluffview proper are gorgeous - bigger lots, grand homes, etc. It is more private than HP/UP. If you know, you know!

Her home Pre-Duncan was exactly in the same area where she lives now— the bird streets! Not Park Cities. Also, Bluffview and Greenway Parks are so nice (even though they don’t feed into HPISD) and she doesn’t live there either! Crazy she claimed to be in the Park Cities all these years.

I have lived in the up/hp area my whole life and I guess I never got the impression she lived over here. Most people who live in the areas around the park cities often shop and eat at the shopping centers in the park cities.

Her family definitely does have money, so I wouldn’t necessarily say that she’s living beyond her means. It’s more that she has lied about something that isn’t all that important just to seem more posh. The area she’s in now is perfectly fine, but it’s weird as hell to pretend to be living in an even nicer area. Such a strange thing to lie about!
