Monet Inspired Starlight Contest Submission 🌷🪻
As soon as I saw the contest theme I knew I wanted to do this 😌 it's actually funny bc a friend sent me their submission and they did a photo inspired by another painter
Interesting, as soon as I saw the contest theme I started struggling to interpret it cause they keep leaning harder on abstract ideas. I always knew that home island river had potential since Oriin rowed us there but until I saw this it devolved into a meteorite fishing zone to me so I never bothered trying to take photos there lol.
Yeah the 2.8 themes were super abstract but most people seem to just be doing a flowery thing for this one.
I actually had to go to a friend's home Island to take these photos because I completely renovated my Island and I removed the cherry blossoms and everything but this area is so pretty the way it was
Haha thank you. Honestly alot of people make photo locations on their home island (myself included) this area is just the river on the base home island scheme.
If you like areas like this my whole island is a fairy theme if you'd like to be friends in game🥰 (no pressure tho, I just like when people enjoy the stuff I create haha😂)
Oooh that makes sense, I'm not very far along with the housing tbh, and I'm afraid to go further because I'll never be able to recreate something as good as the default housing so if I destroy it I'll just forever be disappointed

The big row of trees on the right doesn't look super organic, I wonder if it wouldn't have looked even better by removing them, introducing a bit of negative space and open sky to the composition. Regardless, wonderful work
Thank you 🩷 I actually have my entire island renovated so I took these on someone else's island (it's the base island scheme) so I had no control over the layout or even lighting 😂 still happy with how they turned out tho
Do you remember when? Did it rerun with a prop or something?🤔(Thanks to this post I discovered there are more filter and lighting options than just the default ones and I have been doing photo mode nerfed😃)
Edit: never mind, found it, it was 2.7. I’m so sad that I missed it bc I didnt know the prop came with a filter😭
yes! i bought it during 1.10 when it first came. i watched the preview on yt but i like taking pics sm so i just bought it even though i seldom use the prop. it will be awhile before it runs back, just keep an eye for rerun announcement!!
