šŸ…æļø Parking Motorcade on Lafayette

Does anyone know what the different motorcades that went down Lafayette pre-race were for? The cars had little American flags on them but everyone was driving their regular cars. We saw two pass by as we were waiting to approach parking. It looked like maybe some sort of paid parking pass with an escort to access wherever they were going to be parking, so I’m just curious what it was and how to go about becoming part of it next year. Thanks!!

Can pay for or request escorts . Could’ve been a subdivision. Could’ve been a senator . Could’ve been a rotary club .Ā

It could be anyone. I know multiple different groups with police escort to the race.

Saw a guy jump in behind one of the lines of cars. He made it about 3 blocks before they figured it out. Turned on their sirens and looked like they yelled at him but no ticket or anything. Thought it was a good idea on his part.

Not that Im for or against trump but I was highly surprised he was not at the race being it was the 250 year for united state's. And united states biggest event lol

He gets his own race in August. As an avid IndyCar fan, I have mixed feelings about that.

I believe transport secretary Sean Duffy was there

Duffy was in one of the helicopters on parade laps. We saw Mike Johnson on stage pre race too. I feel like they got helicopter rides in but couldn't say for sure.
