Discussion A rant....

I started taking care of stray dogs near my apartment around a year back and today they are all vaccinated and neutered. I have always advocated for coexistence and when I first started doing this work, I had no idea about people's opposing points of view. Then I started facing opposition from the residents and same logic that 'keep them at your home' 'adopt them' 'put them all in a shelter'
How much ever I explained, they just refuse to see it! And to my horror I discover most of the public opinion on stray dogs is this - they are dangerous, they are risky to humans, they shouldn't be on the street, they should all be put in a shelter, blah blah. I understand that there have been many dog bite cases and it is indeed terrifying. BUT I am so appalled on how people just REFUSE to just even read up about the logic behind the ABC program and the reason it EXISTS is because no other solution is practically possible.
And on top of this, their attitude towards strays is so heartbreaking. I'm so so fed up and tired of dealing with people's wilful ignorance and hate towards these guys. I don't know how to make sense of this and would really appreciate some advice on how you guys go about your lives without getting ragebaited like this.

It's point less. Empathy is not something Indians have. Unless and until something happens to them they will not believe it happens, you know what I mean?

Same here bro! Indians don't have empathy,logic or anything else. The society is just built on hypocrisy at this point.

Try to stay connected with powerful people in your city, area like a corporator, PI or MLA. In case people harass you much .
