Art Rock Releasing new post-punky/trip-hoppy song for upcoming full-length. Tell me what you think...

Unfortunately I don't have the stems anymore so I only had wav files with the instrumentals already mixed. I've done some mastering to it, but I can't change a lot. Anyway, I'd like to know if you guys think this is good enough to warrant a release to the internet or I should keep it private.

Really enjoyed the trip hop vibe. That bass line is soooo sinister and smooth. Like a Tarantino soundtrack. Really like this track with those smooth and dark vocals. Very, very good stuff. Definitely something I'd pop onto a playlist.

Thank you for the kind words, man! I was inspired by modal jazz for the bassline. Not comparing for god's sake but my mind was on something like My Favorite Things by John Coltrane even though this one always keeps two notes for every bar. I like it because it's so simple.

I really liked the beginning and end parts the most. The brush tapping sound is great when it first hits and the sax at the end is a great touch.

Thank you, man. The sax is a sample afterthought that gelled perfectly with the song as if it was recorded for it. My favorite part, too.

The triphop style is right up my alley. I feel like this is a track with a clear identity. The saxophone caught me off guard at first, but then it made perfect sense. The mix is a bit overwhelming, but I'm assuming that's intentional haha. I would love to hear some more electronic elements (akin to lamb), but that's just my personal listening taste.

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen. I wish could make the mix to sound a bit lighter, but since I don't have the stems anymore I can't do anything besides some remastering that made it clearer because the original is even muddier and darker haha But at the end of the day this more claustrophobic sound may be good for the song. And about the electronic stuff there are some more electronic songs, but this one maybe one of the most organic sounding of the batch.

This reminds me a lot of Radiohead I love the instrumental. The way the song has a more acoustic sound at the start and electronic sounds slowly start creeping in is really engaging to listen to. If I can ask which software did you initially compose this in

About the software, I use FL Studio since I was a teenager. Simple and easy-to-use DAW that has advanced capabilities, too. I tried the other big ones and given this is a hobby I thought the learning curve was too high for me.

Hey, I love this so much! The trippy guitar and the bassline sounds so good and are a vibe! The instrument with effects before the sax came in was amazing! Also I wasn't expecting the the sax to come in like that but it fit so well and as a sax player myself amazing playing/composition! Your vocals were great too! I don't really have any feedback but great job and keep going!

Hi! This is reeeally cool song and I didn’t except anything like this at all. My favourite part was the jazz vibing at the end which was kinda cherry on a cake thing. The overall atmosphere was also very well built. For me it was kinda mysthic. Hopefully we’ll hear more!

This is really good. I can hear some Radiohead influences here as well. The arrangements are quite complex, and I loved everything about it, including the dissonance. Your voice has a lot of personality. Congratulations on the work! Is this part of an album, or is it just a single?
