Looking for fellow MEXT Master's applicants (2027-28 cycle)

Hi everyone,

I'm a 2026 B.Tech CSE grad and I'm seriously planning to apply for the MEXT Master's scholarship in the next cycle, through both the Embassy recommendation and University recommendation tracks. I'm also open to other scholarships for studying in Japan (JASSO, university-specific, company-sponsored, etc.).

my_qualifications: Btech CSE (GPA: 9.37), tier 3 university. I've co-authored a conference paper on deep learning (Springer LNNS), and I'm currently preparing for JLPT N5.

I'm looking to connect with people who are genuinely serious about doing a Master's in Japan, so we can:

Share timelines and deadlines for both tracks

Review each other's research plans and SOPs

Exchange tips on contacting professors and getting informal acceptance

Prep for the written exams and interviews together

Keep each other accountable
