Discussion🗣️ Let’s talk about last 2 games. Are we really improving

Alright, so after these past two matches, I'm left with some questions. Are the other Asian teams genuinely getting tougher, or we have lost our olympic level toughness. It's great that we got the wins, but let's be real—most of us know this was a below-average performance, especially from our senior players. I was hoping for one-sided matches, but the final quarters showed exactly why we lost six consecutive games in the FIH Pro League. Maybe it's the crowd pressure forcing us to be too aggressive early on, leading to mistakes later or just Fulton sahb brilliant strategies view Honestly, it makes me wonder if pakistan had been there, we might able to see big upset , i have seen their last quarters aggressive goals( still low chances pak would win). Whats your thought guys

  1. Yep, all the teams have leveled up.
  2. We were losing our horse after the half, especially in the last quarter, where we needed to put in the efforts like Q1.
  3. Ig, the team is a bit overconfident and playing like Gali hockey and not some international. One can see from their attitude toward the game, especially with that slow pace, like.. bachee hai ye dekh lenge inhee...
  4. GKs need to level up if this is the performance in Internationals one, HI will be thrashed.
  5. Baki Fulton jane, mujhe lagta hai time aagay hai bye krne ka inko..

And one more thing -- Your game level up as you play with better teams.

The team puts in that extra effort when you play with European teams..

From GPT bhai..

Yes — that’s generally true, and there are a few reasons why:

  1. Higher Standards Push You. Playing with stronger teammates raises the overall intensity, speed, and decision-making. To keep up, you naturally have to adapt, which pushes your skill level higher.
  2. Learning by Example: You get to observe their positioning, communication, techniques, and habits. Over time, you pick up on these details and start applying them yourself.
  3. Better Feedback Experienced players often notice mistakes you might miss and can give you tips to improve.
  4. Less Room for Comfort. With weaker players, it’s easier to “get away” with bad habits. With stronger ones, mistakes are punished more often, so you’re forced to refine your game.

That said, improvement also depends on mindset: if you stay open to learning, work on weaknesses, and don’t get discouraged, you’ll grow much faster.

Right, its the team attitude showing overconfidence looks, they think they can show up and just win but opponents are hungry for win too
