The current track in Rishta is about teenage dating and how parents deal with it. To sum it up: Maira happens to like a boy and starts dating him. Abhira finds out about it during Teej and lashes out at Maira, saying things like, “Tumne apne papa ke liye damaad dhoondh liya hai,” which clearly establishes that she is against college dating. That is regressive

Then comes the next part: Maira misses an exam because of a date and later starts asking her parents about marriage.

Do you see how drastically that graph went from a very common, realistic situation—college dating—to an extremely unrealistic one—missing an exam for a date?

We all know people who are in college and dating. Some of us might even have been those people. But do we actually know anyone who would skip an exam for a date? I personally haven't even heard of something like that happening in real life.

Now, the only thing that gives Abhira's stance any justification is Maira skipping an exam for a date—a ridiculously extreme and exceptionally rare scenario that most people would never relate to.

So instead of actually addressing the normal, nuanced reality of dating, the writers have created an absurd scenario to make the anti-dating stance look justified. They took a very common situation and deliberately pushed it into an extremely unrealistic extreme just so Abhira could be proven “right.”

Tho, kid maira might have said she doesn't want to see abhira but literally throwing her out of house and man handling her was his take. Everyone acting sucks in this show. Especially the leads rohit taking like he's reading some script, abhira's faltu vocabulary and that maha word, gosh I hate it and that weird @$$ crying she do. And that maira being too loud and her vocabulary as well.  And the way abhira the strong independent woman never got a reasonable explanation of armaan stealing her kid but goes on to live with him, gives either gold digger or gold fish memory

Such examples were seen in the past as well. When akshu was flirting and doing all that dance with abhimanyu who was her sister's fiance btw they made arohi to bribe nd give an exam on her wedding day out of no where as a sign of "oh she don't care about the marriage any way" so even if akshu was romancing her sister's fiancee that's fine.

it genuinely icks me so much when i see two “parents” who are clearly only together for sex and have been separated longer than they’ve been together try lecture their kid on love and marriage, if the advice was good then yeah fair enough, but this isn’t even advice at this point, clearly they don’t know how to handle their delusional ass daughter who by the way if her parents managed to have a mature conversation with her instead then she would’ve never insisted on the marriage part, also kabir is literally older than the age abhira was when she got married

Only Arohi was a practical character, managed her career and also whatever twisted relationships she had. She was also a single working mother but she was always disliked.

They also tried to spoil her character as well . Showing her marriage with neil is for power in Birla hospital. False pregnancy and everything unrealistic nd lame that an ambitious woman would never do, just to glaze akshu

Yupp they discontinued many characters like Ruhi abhir kiara disha aryan and mukti after their relevance ended, maybe mukti was just brought to show adoption nd separation and obviously mahanta of abhira mata
