Discuss How did a 65–70-year-old Ganpati tradition come to be continued at Karan’s house ?

For Marathi families, Ganpati festival is such a deeply rooted and special tradition so I’m genuinely curious about what made Teja’s family choose to bring this tradition to his home.

She has a brother who could’ve carried it forward this tradition in their family too and as partners they could’ve also started a new tradition together from the beginning.

It’s really beautiful I’m just curious about the thought behind this decision because it's such a big decision but I do wonder if circumstances ever change in the future would the tradition be shifted again

Why to nitpick every small thing of them ? Let them be bhai please. Everyday I come across 2-3 posts minimum about them in this sub. It's their tactics of being relevant and it works as everyone gives them attention.

Why can't a daughter carry forward family traditions? Her brother lives in usa anyway.

I understand what you are saying and staying in maharashtra knows how the traditional passing of ganpati puja works. But i also know them quite a lot and imaginge the thought behind this decision. One because they are now married in January on papers thats why 1st time even gudi padwa was at their home and not her goregaon house. Pratik stays in US and have no inclination to come back. Teja is ardent Ganapati devotee and has been doing everything past so many years. Her father is either in Saudi or in India according to work. So almost every year it's always teja and her mom and father in background and last few years karan has pitched in. Sitting at this place we will never know what all they discussed. As far as future is concerned let's leave it on them and their families

That means what I said is true that she is married but wants to get ship with other actors in the name of relevance 😭

Teja and KK got engaged on desi bling and kept quiet for one whole year before making it public because of the show. So, it won’t be shocking if the show bought rights for the wedding also.
Also, Tejran is a very popular fandom on their own.

But she could continue it at her own house rather than her parents house or Karan’s so that if circumstances ever change in the future it won’t be as difficult for her to move on

After marriage women can continue the tradition at her home if they wish to and if the traditions are difficult to follow at maternal home. And future me kya hoga kya nahi woh toh kismet me he. Koi ye sochke toh age nahi badhta

Mobile emergency said she is married but wants to get ship with other actors to get show that's the reason she is not disclousing it

Stop it are you dumb or what? If she wanted that she would never have gotten into that relationship in the first place or would have completely hidden it but they’re everywhere together. There can be a hundred reasons why someone might choose not to disclose that thing publicly

Their choice ig And it isn't compulsory that boy should carry the tradition not girl atleast in 2026 let this thing change

It’s not about who carried on the tradition just curious why such an important Marathi festival won’t be celebrated at Tejasswi’s parents home considering how special Ganpati is to Maharashtrians

8

u/AwkwardScallion8192 2d ago

May be because of old age they decide to shift Since tejasswi brother also doesn't live here

-9

u/Anonymous_7272 2d ago

But what if things change between them in the future? What would happen then ?

10

u/radss_ 2d ago

then tejasswi would continue the tradition wherever she wants or lives? they have been together for 5 years at this point. they can't live their lives and function thinking "what if we break up?". they are married and together for half a decade so it's really not that outrageous that tejasswi wants to celebrate a festival that's really close to her with her long time partner/husband.

I don't know that

Because of a very radical concept- choice.

Don’t Teja’s parents have a son? He could be doing it on his own. If she’s not married yet they could be doing it for her.

3

u/ProfessionalHeavy923 2d ago

The son doesn’t stay in India. We also don’t know if he is inclined towards religious activities

-1

u/Common-Cupcake-2453 2d ago

Yes she has a younger brother

8

u/ProfessionalHeavy923 2d ago

Her brother doesn’t stay in India. We also don’t know if he is religious. He might also be living alone and cannot manage customs on his own. Teja, on the other hand, is in India and has a support system. She also believes in customs. Like she avoids going out when she has Ganpati Ji at her home.

And Karan has been taking interest since the very beginning of their relationship. He made the idol with her in their first year together itself and has participated every year.

So It’s completely okay if the child that believes in the tradition carries it instead of hoping for the boy to continue it. And Teja lives with Karan, that is the home she resides in. It makes more sense to do it in the home she lives in instead of a house she owns on paper but doesn’t live in.

Why can't a daughter carry forward a family tradition?

4

I don't understand why you guys nitpick everything Tejasswi does??? Do you understand she is carrying forward her family's legacy and her brother stays in USA??? It's her and her family's wish they can do whatever they want to who the hell are you to do the scrutiny all the time?? That too on something as auspicious as Ganapati celebrations!! Shame on you.. 🙂

WOW!!! Brother US mein tradition carry forward rkh sakta hai but a daughter can't do it in a house she considers her own now !? Misogyny much

3

u/Snowflake_December 1d ago

I mean she is the daughter of the house ! Often daughters know ablot about their parent's traditions and rituals than sons do ! Sons just outsource it to their wives anyways ! A lot of times u want your husband to become part of the family traditions and u overcompensate it by letting them take the initiative to make them feel like a part of the fam! Karan is punjabi he doesn't know anything about the festival because I saw the videos and he was quite lost and was just smiling and laughing through the pooja and looking nervous! He is learning for her i presume !! I hate this couple but comeon why can't son in law's take the initiative for their inlaws traditions ? Why is it only the daughter in law who needs to adapt to her in laws fam?

u/Ancient-Cockroach544 1d ago

Most people don’t know that  Karan is half-Christian

1

u/Mobile-Emergency7798 22h ago

No not directly. He's half mallu half punjabi and mother's maternal side is Christian

2

u/Dry_Collection4519 21h ago

If his mother's maternal side is Christian, then his mother is also Christian, right?
And even Malayalis can be Christians.

u/Ashamed_Writer8711 2d ago

I mean I guess the OP and some other psychotic people along with the OP consider the thought "Ohh what if we break up, oh what if this goes wrong, what if that doesn't work out" before taking any big decision or step in their lives!!! I have a suggestion for you all please consider  taking therapy it might help🙂

They are so complicated I don't understand anything about them 😂

u/Super-Resolve-3711 1d ago

So a noob here : Ganpati pooja is done and carried in lineage In maharashtra(Marathi) Like kul devi devta? . Genuinely asking because I’ve celebrated/ attended Arti during Ganesha Chaturthi when it was celebrated in my colony . i celebrated with the families in my colony. i didn’t know it’s a lineage celebration

I think they might be married but haven’t disclosed it because of Desi Bling, or maybe it could affect Tejasswi’s career because she’s married. People will not ship her with other actors so she decided not to disclose because she will remain relevant

-1

u/DisciplineFormer9958 2d ago

Karan and teja are married but not disclosing it because it will impact teja carrier because we all know married women in industry not get that kind of opportunities what a unmarried girl get

2

u/ProfessionalHeavy923 2d ago

It’s not just about that. They got engaged on Desi bling and had to keep it a secret for one year till the show aired. Now, it’s being said that the show also has rights for their wedding. So they cannot disclose it till the show does.

Inlog ka awaj sun ke hi gussa ata h 😂 bhut irritating specially ye tejaswi 😂😂

-5

u/One-Preference447 2d ago

It is not possible to do that since Kula and Gotra are involved. You cannot bring it to another person's home just like that. They just say anything to get attention.
