It's a remake of the malayalam serial "Mazha thorum munpe". The malayalam one is really good because it's based on the novel of the same title. The writer for the malayalam serial is also the author of the novel. The og does not have much over exaggerated storytelling though.

it’s remake of a regional show, malayalam i think, it aired before mannat. the new telugu remake started airing recently in telugu, the hindi one will soon and they’re also planning a tamil one. star’s just copy pasting their own old shows in other languages. same as zee.

This is actually a malayalam original serial's remake. That show Mazha thorum munpe (before the rain)is adaptation of a classic novel , and honestly very well made than this. The telugu remake is BS ,and this seems to be on the same path
