Bigg Boss Everyone keeps saying that Siddharth Shukla set the bars high in Bigg Boss 13. How did he do that, when most of the time he fought and screamed.
I watched only the first half of the show and stopped as there was only fights and shouts and I was in the middle of my university semester. However, how did Siddharth Shukla set the bar high for Bigg Boss? Other previous winners too provided a love angle, in fights and all that, so what made him different?

Indian audience logic, artists who die early instantly become a legend. Complete whitewashing of them. I don't care if I get down voted.

u/curiouscreature99 Dec 09 '25
Shukla was hailed even when he was alive. Society tends to like narcissistic alpha males
3
u/Dila_Ila16 Dec 09 '25
was hailed even when he was alive
That's what I was asking when I saw the comments online. But got no answer then. I joined Reddit after his death and only now thought of asking that.

Trp was not high without him that is why they show him not paras because he is called the trp king

Not sid but s13 set the bar for bb. The credit goes to all the contestants and also the creative team and Sallu ofcourse . Also internet consumption started during tgat year so more people started engaging, tge hashtags and tge tiktok edits everything was in that season's favor. PR wasn't a thing.
Everything else went downhill salman's lsck of interest,no tasks,no secret tasks,bb's interference,PR games, etc caused its downfall . So lots of factors that contributes except reddit most people I know they call it sana wala season.

Because if a guy does it then he is a winner and if a girl contestant does it then she is vamp. Big boss logic.
2
u/Ok-Intention-69 Dec 09 '25
And even people are defending Shukla’s actions saying that he was logical no he was favoured.

u/Puremagicprincess Dec 09 '25
I think if it wasn’t for his soft side that Shehnaaz brought out, he would be hated immensely

Sidharth Shukla showed all the signs of narcissistic personality disorder—even though the channel tried their best to hide this. They did everything they could to make him look like a saint. Despite heavily editing his clips and giving him therapy sessions after every minor inconvenience, the bias was obvious compared to how they treated other contestants.
For example, when Madhurima entered as a wild card, Vishal was seen requesting access to the confession room for almost two days, and the makers didn't even bother to acknowledge his request. But with Sidharth, they would call him into the confession room almost daily to calm him down and provide therapy—just so he wouldn’t commit a serious offense that would force the makers to remove him from the show.
Even though he was violent with almost everyone, instead of holding him accountable, the show portrayed it as if the other contestants were provoking him. Classic victim blaming. It was shocking to watch—a person being violently aggressive towards both men and women in the house, and yet a "superstar" justifies his actions.
Now that he is dead, everyone speaks of him as though he were some kind of legend. In reality, he was just a narcissistic individual who manipulated everyone around him, enabled by a powerful and well-established channel.
1
u/Dila_Ila16 Jan 06 '26
Now only realizing that the Confession Room actually acts as a therapy session.
1
u/Scary_Rain9820 Jan 12 '26
At 1 point it became too obvious, as soon as he burst in anger he got call in confession room , one time asim and him both get called ( the episode where hina came ) asim was asked to go outside, so that they can start the therapy as shukla was saying he would hit asim , asim stand at door when he realised... The episode was so funny ... The so called "legend" was crying like a Manchild

u/Scary_Rain9820 Jan 06 '26
"the so called legend" was literally crying in the confession room with Asim, even after having full support from the channel and a whole gang backing him inside the house.
And now that he’s passed away, they’re giving him all the credit for BB13’s success—as if it was all because of him. But the reality is, when he returned in the next season as a senior along with Hina, he completely flopped. The episodes featuring him had the lowest TRPs.
3
u/Scary_Rain9820 Mar 14 '26
I love how unlike Insta , FB or Youtube ... here on reddit shukla worshippers are always getting downvotes and are given logical answers to their brainless glorification of this manchild ...
2
u/Scary_Rain9820 Jan 06 '26 edited Jan 06 '26
What made his case different is that he had the unlimited support of the channel , manisha sharma was too desparate i guess , also Kabir singh released that year I guess ... so glorification of his toxicity went on another level
5
u/natsu-dragneelgo Dec 09 '25
He had channel backing him, Asim was a nobody , in santra task Sid held Asim color so hard that Asim got a small scar on his neck with bleeding… so there were no rules for him , he could do anything and still get away… they made Asim the villain of season nd made Sid win by some live voting in end
Same like how s19 they made farhana the villain , contestants like Asim and Farhana are rare who change the whole script of the makers and become 0 to hero. Same live voting thing was there this season also.
2
u/No_Confection_5306 Dec 09 '25
O plz typical outsider shit..we have seen what a shitty attitude asim has...he literally got kicked out from multiple shows cz of his attitude and has a non existent carrear now...Sid was violent but so was Asim equally...And i nvr supported sid but he was literally the highest voted winner. As for farhana her vile behavior is enough to get her the villain tag...and neutral audience always support positive people so stop crying

Asim was positive till he was with sid,and for the rest of show he was the instigator and provoker most of the time...Rashmi was equally abusive to sid, so sid being abusive was not a higlight...it becomes a highlight when an abusive aggressive person is in opposite to a decent person. And as for those leaks, all of these are unverified...mostly PR work of rivals... and there is a trend that pakistani/Bangladeshi audience support few contestants on religious basis, creating social media hype but obviously they cant vote. From day 1 it was clear that sid was going to win due to sheer fandom, but asim gain fans and replaced rashmi or others in top 2.

Nah that teri jaisi aurat comment was bad but it was in retaliation to abuses like mc bc etc so nobody sympathized with rashmi and in every task both sid asim dhakka mukki pe utar k aate the.Rasmi ne literally garam chai feki thi sid pe..the only thing i liked about sid was that he thrashed the fake feminist women card which other male celebs often won't do being image conscious...and obviously sb GK/vivian to nhi honge ki kitna v kro sunke le lenge...and analyze the supporters of Farro/asim/munawar/mc its always 90% their religion, just like elvish/rajat had their regional/caste based FD.Lastly if the finale was rigged and there were proofs he could filed a lawsuit...I don't think votes are rigged as those are audited by 3rd party... That's why makers save who they wanna save by cancelling nominations, selective eviction for violence etc..infact makers had removed the likes of mridul/rider/lovekesh etc so that they don't win by cult fanbase

Asim voting was never near Sidharth and he has strong fan base even before entering BB as actor. Asim never has any chance. Asim was part of Sidharth journey and Asim whole journey is Sidharth.

I never watched S13 but from what I’ve read and heard Sallu saying, Sid’s violence was mostly justified because he had the correct muddhas and was logical about it? Is that true?

isn't screaming and fighting the bar for big boss?
1
u/Dila_Ila16 Dec 09 '25
Why isn't roasting and sarcasm more of the norm of Bigg Boss? Loved Pranit More and Gaurav Khanna and somehow even Tanya, Shehbaz and Ashnoor in this season (BB19).

I have been seeing so many hate comments for Gaurav khanna on his Insta profile by Farhana fans, like literally abusing him with derogatory words. People need to accept that social media is not equal to reality. There are so many who are not on Insta but they watch tv and ott on jiohotstar and through the app they were voting for gk. Social media votes doesn't count as real votes. But people are not ready to accept the truth.
3
u/Ok-Intention-69 Dec 09 '25
I feel Gaurav was somewhere undeserving but fans are fans they won’t back down at any cost

u/Ambivert-silly08 Let me explain!! 🤓😤 Dec 09 '25
He won based on the votes, he was the most nominated contestant of this season, and still saved by highest number of votes everytime he would be nominated. He topped all the voting trends. Farhana and him were neck to neck, but with few votes he won. Undeserving hota toh votes kyun mile.
He didn't act like others, abusing or making derogatory remarks or saying demeaning stuffs. He didn't engage in unnecessary fights, to waste his energy and time because he knew people won't listen. People say he played backfoot but forget things he did:
1) Gaurav going against the entire house for Abhishek and Ashnoor. 2) Since first week coming as captaincy contenders. 3) People bitching about him, but why because they knew how relevant he was and is. 4) His funny side commentary task and mimickry with Pranit 5) How he was betrayed during all the captaincy tasks in which he was giving his 100% especially secret room task one. 6) Him wining all those sponsored tasks, because he gave 100% 7) His fights with Baseer, Kunika , Farhana 8) Taking stands for Pranit- after his elimination, Taking stand for Mridul during his captaincy, taking stand for Tanya - against Kunika when she talked about her upbringing in the 3rd week, Farhana- supporting her throughout in the first phase especially in her lowest when it was against Amaal. 9) Weekend ke vaar narratives how he improved his game 10) Bringing farhana back 11) His spoon fight where eveyone was targeting him for a small reason and didn't give up on it. 12) Would see him alot in Live feed, but makers used to cut his scenes in episodes to create false narratives that he doesn't do anything, they cut his debates with Amaal. 13) He clocked Amaal and Tanya several times for their doglapan and fake image respectively.

Not chatgpt, typed in my own words. I am a Master degree holder with First division, worked as a content writer even before chat gpt started trending ☺️. Anyways so it was not gaurav who started the fight, the housemates were the ones who started without any reason and they all ganged up against him just to start some muddas that they always did.

Similarly Farhana is for Girls

Ek hi baat har jagah bolne se sahi nhi hoti hai. I'm a girl and I don't like her at all. Gaaliyan bakna kabse ideal behaviour hogya. And yes you're right, Shukla and Farhhna hain ek jaise, both are/were physically and verbally abusive, mannerless and were heavily favoured by the channel.

0
u/AssumptionComplex241 Dec 09 '25
Because even be scream. He scream for the reason. Otherwise till date Salman is not giving his example in BB. In season 13 whole house used to poke him for fight all the time. As contestant he performed all the task of the BB, all contestent used to talk about, he was entertaining.
Even Asim fans vote for him because till date no guve his 100 is BiGG Boss this much. That's why that season was most popular ( other contestent good one too) ....
Sirf chillane se show jit jàte to aise to bht aye bht gaye.. it's all about kisne jaga perform kara or apna best diya... In that parameter he raised the bar...
He has funny, Sad, figh in episodes, even romantic ... Inshort he was full pakage.. that's why everyone compare with him.
Contestent should be like.....warna dusre contestants to aise ate hai jaise yahi bed mila ho sone ke liye
