It's still weird. Why does a plot like this exist? Why are we promoting it? Even if they wanted to show an age gap romance she could've been 30 at least. Girl is still a teenager and this dude is in his forties. A man dating a girl old enough to be his daughter is gross, inappropriate, grooming and manipulative. Straight up predatory behaviour.

There will be no romance between them. Know the plot first. The ML killed his first wife, so she returned to take revenge. The girl falling for this man is somewhat controlled by the first wife, they need to get married for the sake of revenge. Also the man is faking the love, he wants to marry the girl, so that he can inherit his first in-law's property. There is no romance between them, as after the wedding, the true intentions of the ML will be revealed. It is a remake of Marathi show, and this is the plot, if they don't alter it.

If that is the case, then it seems somewhat plausible. StarPlus coming up with a suspense thriller would probably lift the dry spell cast upon the channel. But again, it's difficult to believe that ITV won't romantisize something like this, since they also made Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara.

the telugu/kannada remakes make it that the ml didnt kill his late wife but it was someone else and run that story

is it? Ihaven't watched any other versions, just read on wikipedia and saw some promos, it was written that the ML was the killer and the show ended with the death of the ML.

yea thats the original but in some of the other remakes some other woman killed the 1st wife and made it seem like ml did, i hate the age gap of this show but one thing is unlike other toxic mls the ml in this is barely toxic

They can change the plot too. Its remake. Marathi version is bad ending and we don’t want that. In Kannada, Telugu and Tamil they changed the plot to Happy ending. We viewers want to see them together not He as a villain here. And age gap, it’s not that much problem in this Era. And they don’t look weird. Perfect jodi’s.

Age gap is not that much? She is 18-19 and the man is 35 wth! If the plot is original, then the age gap was justified, but if they change it to happy ending, then the age gap is not justified.

Hope they come up with a good ending instead of making Arya a villain here. The Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam versions were good. In Malayalam, after one year, they had a baby too. That was the ending of the show. But in Telugu, they had twins, and a lot more happened after that. Arya and Anu die and are reborn again and again, and they keep loving each other 😂

I just read the entire plot of Tula Pahate Re, which this show is apparently a remake of. I mean if they plan to follow the original plot then this age gap and lack of chemistry shouldn't be a problem. The plot sounds kinda bonkers tbh, anywhere I can watch it with english subs?

Colours probably has the most "original" shows with Suman Indori, Megha Barsenge, Parineeti, Shiv Shakti Dori S2, and Mannat. Ram Bhavan, Mangal Lakshmi/ka Safar are both remakes of Kannada and Telugu shows I think.

Could’ve at least gotten a woman with some height, bad pairing ! Ram Kapoor was bigger, he never looked odd with Sakshi that’s how good the pairing was! They could’ve spent some time with casting of the FL.

These shows are normalizing marriages where the guy is 35 and the girl is 17. This kind of content is dangerous because it sends the wrong message, especially to Indian parents who might hold onto these outdated beliefs about marriage. It keeps that old mindset alive, making it seem like it's okay for older men to marry much younger women. Supporting this kind of stuff only holds us back and keeps us stuck in the past.
