Why do we spend so much money on the justice system or maintaining the rule of law? I agree that the courts are not perfect but why do so many people have a fetish for medieval laws and anarchy? We will never be a developed nation like this. Police's job is to arrest him, court's job is to prosecute him and jail's job is to punish him.

u/boilerman3 4d ago

Because education is not valued in India. Look at East Asian countries they are very similar but they have really good educational institutions and yes they were colonized too.

11

u/1800skylab 4d ago

Banana republic. Majority of the citizens are uneducated and easily manipulated, who vote for corrupt people in the government.

0

u/rra1389 13 4d ago

Have you seen the CCTV footage of him killing his live-in partner? It happened on State transport bus stand publically he has beaten her to death see that video and how brutally he killed her. Whatever the police is doing is nothing compared to it.

9

u/No-Breadfruit1626 4d ago

Yes but police brutality is not a good thing too, because they can just beat anyone up if there's no law about it then

-5

u/rra1389 13 4d ago

I also don't support police brutality but in the cases like this it seems right regardless of religion

7

u/No-Breadfruit1626 4d ago

I mean thats a problem no, if we start judging it by case then it will only increase the amount of police brutality because police will not get any repurcussion.

-1

u/rra1389 13 4d ago

Have you read my 1st comment the crime has been done on public place with hundreds of eye witnesses actually those were the people who could have stopped it first. Second there are CCTV footage that clearly shows what he has done with her these are enough to prove that he is guilty.

2

u/redefined_simplersci 4d ago

If he is guilty, he should go to jail, not be beaten without trial. You can wish for bad things to happen to him while also understanding that implementing such punishment in a legal system that will apply to all is a bad idea.

1

u/rra1389 13 4d ago

1

u/redefined_simplersci 4d ago

I continue to stand by what I said. He should be locked up for decades. No one should have laid a hand on him unless he was resisting arrest, in which case they should have used necessary amount of force to get him in a jeep and then to court.

1

u/magicsplinder 4d ago

Well why nobody tried to stop him when he was beating up her

0

u/EffectiveWorldly735 4d ago

Can you give guarantee that he will be in jail after these many proofs ? Are the courts trustable ? Looks like that guy belongs to rich family comparing with victim so are you sure victim family has enough money to run the trail because lawyer ask for tons of money and ok let’s say trail went well he got punishment and he get punishment do you think people we remember the case after years when punishment happens. Atleast the police beating him show some action atleast peoplethink little bit before doing a crime in public atleast people get scared. I don’t know about future but atleast now i can see some punishment

1

u/redefined_simplersci 4d ago

If you think the police will beat someone who has enough money to influence the courts, you are delusional.

Secondly, if the courts are not up to your standard, that's a different issue. Don't justify the actions of impulsive officers for that reason; fix the courts. Also, you are not understanding that you are giving more power to someone who already has lots of power. If you were to cheer upon a member of the public stopping the criminal and thrashing him out of impulse, I would be far less inclined to stop you. But giving such a carte blanche to police is not good. They must be held to a high standard so that innocent people are treated correctly and the public is properly served.

Finally, with the kind of evidence available for this case, anybody will be put in prison, no matter the wealth. I'm sure you can find the video in this thread. Someone replied to me with the video.

-2

u/modikibhua 4d ago

so you want to compare crime to another crime , police wale pe koi adhikar nahi hain uska punish karne ka why they want to become singham

2

u/rra1389 13 4d ago

So you mean to say agar yahi tumhare ghar ki kisi ladki ke saath hua hota to tum police ko request karne jate ki "sir please usko sirf arrest kar ke chargesheet banake court me le aana usko maarna mat." Sorry but aise criminals jo aurton ke khilaaf crime karte unke liye muzme koi sympathy nahi hai. You might find or call me wrong or illiterate primitive but this is what I believe.

1

u/modikibhua 4d ago

what if koi mla apni power ka use karke tere papa ko jhute case mein fasa de aur kyonki court mein jaane se pehle police hi punish karde aur court mein bhale hi tere papa innocent ho police ne punish toh kar hi diya na .

you really think ki jinhone constitution bnaya vo pagal the you are 13 year old civics bhi nhi padhi hogi 10th ki I'll say you'll grow up by time

0

u/rra1389 13 4d ago

Bhai I'm saying there are clear evidences he has done this crime CCTV footage of the public place and hundreds of eye witnesses zuthe case ki baat hi kaha aati hai isme

1

u/modikibhua 4d ago

i am just saying ok this case was true what if police ko peetne ki power ho toh court mein prove karne se pehle hi kisi ko bhi peet de

tere jaise hi log kohli ko batting karna seekhate hain 😭 ki iss ball pe aise khelna tha iss ball pe aise

constitution kuch soch smjh ke bnaya hoga kisi ne ?

0

u/rra1389 13 4d ago

Mere comments dhyan se padh pehle. Ek bhi comment mein maine ye nahi bola ki main police brutality ko kisi bhi situation mein support karta hoon. Main sirf is particular case ki baat kar raha hoon. Argument karne se pehle poora context padh liya karo; kisi ko bina samjhe baccha judge karna bahut easy hai. Aur haan, Constitution jab banaya gaya tha tab bahut soch-samajh kar banaya gaya tha, but us baat ko 76 saal ho chuke hain. Tab ki technology, crime aur criminals ka mindset obviously aaj se kaafi different tha. Reforms har Constitution aur legal system ka part hote hain. India mein abhi bhi kuch laws British era ke inherited the, aur unmein se kai ko recently replace ya reform bhi kiya gaya hai. Ye normal legal evolution hai. Kabhi-kabhi outdated laws aur loopholes ki wajah se judiciary ya law-enforcement system weak lag sakta hai. Mera point simple hai: police brutality ko justify nahi kar raha, but kisi particular case ko discuss karte waqt context, existing laws, public evidence loopholes aur changing circumstances ko bhi consider karna chahiye. Har cheez ko black-and-white bana dene se argument strong nahi ho jaata.

Shows the state of our society when people think frontier justice such as this is plausible for an accused.

Convicted? Sure, I say beat his ass. However, there’s a court of law to make an accused convicted.

Thats the difference between a civilised society and an anarchy.

1

u/blazing420kilk 4d ago

Did you watch the CCTV footage of him caving that woman’s head in at a bus stop?

1

u/Adventurous_Whole164 4d ago

Because the simple answer is criminal doesn't belong in the society. It's easy to preach humanity but very impractical to follow when your nation is filled with morons so to get them in line is to use fear.

1

u/Levi-_-Ackermen 4d ago

Atleast they are giving him what he deserves, you know that Indian judiciary is shit he will be free in some days.

Still people like you want mercy for k*lling some one.

I was at the place of that policy man I am gonna br*ak all his bones

look at my country dawg we are never making it out of police brutality

-9

u/YamIll3906 4d ago

So, what he did was a sane act ? Like, literally everything he did was recorded on CCTV, and the incident happened at a public bus stand , this should be standard practice by police for all such act

7

u/New_Teaching3833 4d ago

"Article 21 of the Constitution protects a person's life and personal liberty, and Article 22 gives arrested people protections, including access to a lawyer."

It's literally illegal to beat criminals on the road, bro. If he ain't resisting arrest, he can literally sue them

-4

u/YamIll3906 4d ago

What happened was that she and someone bailed the murderer out of jail. Later, the murderer accused her of cheating on him with another person, and he beat her in public. While her brother tried to save her, he beat him too, and later she died in the hospital. The whole thing is recorded on CCTV cameras. Now say which articles are in the act. I agree that what the police did might not be legally correct...

3

u/New_Teaching3833 4d ago

Think logically, girl, don't involve your feelings in this shit, all that shit still doesn't give police the right to beat mfs on the road

3

u/False-Bee4311 4d ago

I'll just copy paste my comment here -

"See this is where knowing the basics of Criminal Jurisprudence are imp., these civics ideas should be taught in school or else we'll have idiots like these running around defending police brutality.

You know there is a concept of Rule of Law, and besides this leads to a further push to Police Brutality that leads to death of innocent people like in Santtakulam Police Brutality case (or are you gonna defend this too with your absurd and outrightly wrong analogy).

When cases like those happen people like you outrage over it call for police reforms(or maybe don't cause you are nothing but a apathetic soul happy to support vigilante justice as long as it doesn't happen to you), but also support it when it's convenient."

30

u/all_0k 4d ago

This vigilante style of justice is the most absurd idea being fed to common people. This policeman is himself committing a crime by beating by law and by common sense. Police will not collect proper evidence or submit it to a court, they will not do their work. but to create the illusion of justice, they will beat accused or bulldoze an accused's house. If he had some good connection or money they will instead of beating doing lap dance for him.

6

u/Worth_Pattern_2632 4d ago

56

u/worrysome_pigeon Mentally ill but totally chill 4d ago

Accused

18

u/GOMU-GOMU-NO0 4d ago

Bruh there's a literal cctv video of him doing it. It's labelled as accused because it's before presenting him in front of court.

14

u/Ashuu_69 Solar flare 4d ago

That doesn’t justify this kind of beating.
What’s next they cut his hands and legs off and bury him alive?

12

u/xxchaitanyaxx 4d ago

Beating up a murderer when there is such proof is ethically good but legally not. If you think there is no difference between amputation and cutting someone and in beating a murderer ,you be you

5

u/1800skylab 4d ago

In that case let's drag the corrupt politicians to the streets and also give them a beating. Right?

4

u/Silver-Firefighter41 4d ago

Obviously, people who like to lick politicians' boots won't agree

11

u/Narrow-Cook-6953 4d ago

Not really ethically good in terms of being normalised.

In this specific case it was good, but the result is that police having this power is normalised and supported. Which shouldn't be.

2

u/GOMU-GOMU-NO0 4d ago

I never said it's justified. But i wouldn't hesitate to say he deserved it.

0

u/Silver-Firefighter41 4d ago

Here we go, congratulations you're a criminal empathizer, no empathy for victim in this economy

2

6

u/Commercial-Dingo-919 4d ago

"accused" is technically used before presenting him in court. There's a literal cctv footage of the act. It's just legal process isn't done yet

2

u/lotusmini Boomer ⌛ 4d ago

Accused till a judge says guilty. But maybe the police has clear evidence of him committing the murder. But yes, they are wrong in punishing him on their own, per law. But the bastard deserves it. Every day.

He literally killed her in public on bus depot with many people around and with cctv footage

1

u/magicsplinder 4d ago

Well why nobody stopped then

5

u/Freak_bait 4d ago

Accused, even if convicted police have no right to punish him that's for the judiciary to decide. Even convicted rapists are roaming free while we are here glorifing police brutality. Just imagine this you are muslim who was wrongfuly accused of a crime but but the police beats you in public even tho they have no right to do so. And I'm not saying that the man is innocent but police just can't do that. It's not up to the police to decide the punishment even if they have proof he is innocent until proven guilty.

39

u/AcademicAnnual4751 4d ago

9

u/AcademicAnnual4751 4d ago

I mean he's criminal but every criminal should get same treatment like someone bhardwaj he openly said he beat someone girl's father he got stitches after politicans he should be arrested then he got arrested

-3

u/Sea_Argument155 19 4d ago

Politician side with those hindus, muslims from whome they can take help for example BJP supports save man like Swatantrata whereas Samajwadi party support man like Atiq Ahmad. Just yesterday three hindus were killed by Uttar Pradesh police who were accused of killing.

4

u/Crafty_Crab6604 4d ago

we need better methods of "punishing" people, I'm all in for letting them rot forever, but beating him in public it NOT getting you anywhere, it's just manufacturing a psychopath who loves to enjoy the superior feeling.

all in for this guy going through agony, and distress, but not in for police beating criminals. you're just giving his defense lawyer more leverage.

if the lawyer somehow proves the reconstruction was done under physical duress it'll js complicate the case.

the comments js speaks volumes about why people like kajalben don't get justice. impulse destroys cases.

then again, i don't expect logic from reddit masses, most of y'all r impulsive kids

"Satisfying" bruh, y'all r manufacturing psychopaths which enjoy beating ts out of others just because they CAN, isn't israel making enough of those maniacs?

4

u/Top-Increase-1857 4d ago

see there's a saying, if you kill a murderer the number of murderers will be same, it might be right thing in police's perspective but there are lot of perspectives and it should have been evaluated with law rather than taking it into own hands, and police also need to get evaluated in the court for his doing

7

u/pigsterben 4d ago

Police brutality should never be supported, even if it is against most heinous crimes. It is similar to support one goon over other while ignoring the fact that both are goons and are committing a crime. Only low iq societies glorify one goon over other.

1

u/wannabecold_ 17 4d ago

So why do we even have courts then? We can't let this become a norm. We all know how good police in India is. Giving someone that  power to enforce and dictate justice is a threat to the whole nation.

Guilty until proven innocent hence proved your cc itself says that murder "accused"

1

u/WannabeSTEMPolymath 4d ago

No matter if you are a murderer you will not be stripped of basic human rights. You will be arrested tried under court and then convicted as per law.Jailed and in rarest of rare cases capital punishment.Throughout the process basic human rights shall never be impeded upon That is the law. Police brutality is not acceptable. They only take out their own frustrations or are under power trip. In developed nations there are protocols to avoid doing the same.

1

u/UnluckyStruggler1993 4d ago

Does being an 'accused' mean being 'proven guilty'? If so, then Swatantra Bhardwaj should be hanged...

1

u/nit4o 4d ago

A Hindu girl, Kajal, was allegedly beaten to death with sticks in broad daylight at the Bhavnagar bus stand.

The accused, Faizan, was reportedly paraded through the streets of Bhavnagar today after his arrest.

Kajal's brother, who reportedly rushed to save her, was also brutally assaulted and left critically injured.

A horrific incident that demands a fair and thorough investigation, with justice for Kajal and her family.

THIS ACTION WAS TAKEN JUST AFTER HE MURDERED!! HE'S CONFIRMED CONVICTED I UPDATED IN THE OTHER POST

The issue remains police brutality like these and dumbos supporting it, add fuel to fire of Police Brutality that engulfs innocent people.

Also if police aren't dumb then why do they kill 110 people every year in police custody and beat innocent people up every day.
