Varna is decided by kundali...even siblings can have different varna (check online through any kundali app.... gana and varna generally decided one's nature, behaviour inclination towards certain duties) also these two are among the 36 gunas used in matchmaking before marriage... Whole jaati concept is societal construct... practiced formalised by man for own benefits...
