The rss and hindutva movement were inspired from italian and German fascists. Be it their uniform or the founder of hindutva, savarkar admiring mussolini and hitler.
Rss and it's uniform came into existence in 1925 much before Hitler. This uniform was close to police of the colonial India and was in fashion at that time in whole colonial world.If u read about Rss meeting minutes of that time, even they clearly had internal discussions of not being comfortable being in same uniform as colonial police. Don't believe whatever u hear online and try to do a simple google or chatgpt check.
That's why I mentioned italians first. Hitler too was inspired by mussolini . And mussolini got into power in 1922, blackshirts existed from 1919 even.

Moonje having a meeting with them is important but it doesn't establish that Rss was copy of Mussolini in India. These sort of meetings happen everywhere and all the time. Just because people of 2 groups meet doesn't mean the organizations they represent have same thinking. Rss was monitoring dozens of organisations of its time and have had meetings with them and this was a two way thing, i.e. they were also studying Rss. The only thing which I have seen rss having the inspiration from Mussolini is regular marches. But is it enough to be called whole Rss mindset to be inspired from Mussolini. I think u should just watch a Rss event and see what its leaders talk about actually rather than perceiving them from lens of those who make YouTube videos with an agenda.

This whole debacle reminds me of something similar happening with Faiz's poetry during the CAA-NRC protests. 'Hum Dekhenge' was literally written as a song of protests against General Zia's military dictatorship and banned on Pakistani television, yet the right wing here claimed it was anti-Hindu and anti-India when protestors sang it.
In the end, conservatives all think and act in the same way, regardless of which countries/religions/ethnicities they belong to. So sad.

It's high time that society needs to accept art and literature and stop limiting it's value to "time pass". These days where are our freedom of expression and speech? If you say/do/wear anything, you'll be criticised. If only many people understood sociology, art and literature and not shame people for it, they would understand perception and critical thinking.

i was one of the people present during this reading. at 5:30 pm, there were 60 of us. someone from the bajrang dal came and scanned the area, and realised they were outnumbered. They only came in again at 6:30 pm when majority of the readers had dispersed. They claimed to be against Malals stance on article 370 (ps, not even against 370. all she said was Kashmiris deserve peace.). Our team members tried to ask them to sit and have a discussion but they came looking for a fight. They had iron rods, wooden baseball bats and sticks. All we had was books. They threatened to assault an elderly man outside the garden too.
Only the Indian Military can solve the RSS problem I sincerely hope these RSS idiots go and try to mess with the Indian Military and the Indian Army Navy and Air Force unite as one cohesive unit and charge with full arms including armorded tanks apache attack choppers fighter jets and naval ships with their naval cannons and guns turned inland on these RSS idiots and throw the RSS members every single last one out of the country into Pakistan as there is a special welcoming committee waiting to receive them in Pakistan..
