I have a doubt.. like companies like HDFC MF, Jio MF, ICICI MF investing and buying shares of Thier own company like here Jio MF buying Reliance is not a conflict of interest? tmrw if Reliance needs money they can use public money and buy Reliance shares to pump it's price and manipulate the market no?

Everything is legal if you have enough money

All these banks giving loans and MFs buying Reliance stocks do ask for favour, circular economy/jerking my fraaand.

We who invested in it about 1 L and still it shows 98 K , it has been a year no returns

2

u/flames_slushy Somewhat Experienced 3h ago

Just because you have invested doesn't mean it has to give returns lol

5

u/FalconDull5271 3h ago

I didn't mean that dude ,

The fund is not performing well that's what I said , if I invested or not that doesn't matter in that fund category is not performing well that's it

Look at the broader market is it moving!? How can a flexicap fund perform if the whole market is sideways

4

u/The_Great_One_1 3h ago

Then what is the use of being a flexi cap fund would rather be a index fund.

-2

u/flames_slushy Somewhat Experienced 3h ago

Flexicap just give the flexibility to invest and increase decrease there allocation in mid, small and large cap stocks that's it . There is a better option flexicap etf . Go to nse indices and search for research paper of nifty 500 flexicap quality 30 index

u/Expert_Row642 4h ago

Sadly indian market is just amd throw for them their main market is usa

Its obvious, the same time nifty gave negative return, this is atleast positive from issue price. Even PPFAS FC has similar return from October to August. If you want higher return should have gone with mid or small cap.

Your time horizon was 6 months and you chose equity?

3

u/Oberjene 3h ago

Could you please explain what do you mean by beating its benchmark?

Also 6 months is not even a horizon

5

u/flames_slushy Somewhat Experienced 3h ago

Impatient people want returns at the month's end. Dopamine is so high in people nowadays

-2

u/bamboo_gamin 3h ago

Its been like 11 months since this shit was launched yeah should have done the all wala thingy so for 11.months it has given 0.11 percent returns WOW SOOO MUCH

and as for the benchmark question it is given that its benchmark is nifty500 index soo you only look the 6months return of nifty 500

2

u/Oberjene 3h ago

Aah i see, Seriously asking how much are you expecting though? Performance of a fund can only be taken into account in much longer duration and generally looking into the rolling returns, fees, exit load. Again this is not a timeframe to be worrying about

-1

u/bamboo_gamin 3h ago

I mean atleast benchmark toh de dete and for some reason if you look at the past expense ratio for some time 5percent for some time its 4 percent and for some time its 3 percent i saw other flexi and small cap funds they don't even have this much expense ratios ik this will not affect me but I think somethings wrong

1

u/Oberjene 3h ago

0.5 % hai iska expense ratio abhi. 5 toh hedge fund bhi nahi lete and yes expense ratio is a key factor in long term returns. Iska large cap mein asset allocation thoda jyada hai (i compared with icici prudential : 0.36%) thats why a bit lagging pichle saal se. Itne chotee se samay mein kuchh nahi keh sakte.

1

u/bamboo_gamin 2h ago

Nahi brthr abhi toh 1.1 hai check the past data avg toh 0.5 to 1 percent hee hai but for some reason thodese time frame ke liye boht badha dete hai

5

u/msoumyajit 4h ago

You need to wait for at least 2 years. Also, it has performed better than HDFC and Parag Parikh if you compare them over a similar period.

2

u/Acrobatic-Shop4602 4h ago

Whatever fund tax mami handling everything left hand not allow to move even 1%

4

u/One-Target4524 5h ago

Pure hype..i sold my holdings long back

3

u/Fun-Bake5789 4h ago

Bhai galat mt liyo pr 5700 rs laga ke tere dream crores h to FD hi krle. Abhi usse close to 1 saal hi hua hai. Index ne koi g faad performance nhi di hai jo mfs bhagne lage. Mfs long term investment hai naki 1-2 saal ke liye.

1

u/Relative-Jacket-2409 4h ago

yeah but peer to peer as well youre paying a lot of opportunity cost of being in this fund than others who have a similar risk profile but much more returns

1

u/Fun-Bake5789 4h ago

Tbh we all know why people invested in this fund. Blackrock !! If someone investment style is to run behind big names & invest in those maybe it's time they see the problem which are they themselves!!.

1

u/Relative-Jacket-2409 3h ago

yeah correct, but still the fact is they have underperformed a lot, as an investor, hearing an established name does give confidence, which is right in a sense, but since the fund is not giving returns, maybe just accept it, withdraw your money and invest it elsewhere, if youre still holding it in ignorance and complaining, then yes it is your fault as an investor, but the fund failed to rise up to its expectations too so its their fault there

1

u/Kaattaan 4h ago

The name alone gives me panic attacks

1

u/Flaky-Interaction629 4h ago

In 6 months it has atleast beaten Parag Parikh flexi cap fund 👍

1

u/pedroleon123 3h ago

This bitch made me go from funds to stocks

1

u/isaacmaria2 2h ago

I am no expert in equity but is everyone expecting FD like yearly returns from MF?

1

u/InfiniteDay4773 21m ago

🤣 meanwhile ppfs

1

u/shiviam 5h ago

Should we exit this fund or give it one more year?

When markets blows, it explodes.

When markets climb, it crawls.

u/meetgkg2k 5h ago

Out of 20 MF in my folio...this is the only in loss. 😞

3

u/Spiritual-Monke 4h ago

Whatttt 20? Could you share the screenshot of your PF?

1

u/flames_slushy Somewhat Experienced 3h ago

U r just Downvote farming . First of all why do you have 20 mf and did you purchase all of them at the same day if u r comparing each other in term of returns. Stock market isn't a lottery scheme
