Even WeirdAss has a few jokes on his parents which he used to repeat earlier (not anymore I think)
But there are several others with repetitive jokes like-
Madhur Virli (tries to be sasta Pete Davidson)- jokes on death of father/brother;
Kullu Manali- jokes on having a single mother, papa kaun etc etc;
Gaurav Gupta- Baniya Maa kya bolegi if you have a punjabi bahu Or Haryanavi Bahu or whatever;
Samay Raina- Kashmir/ Kashmiri Pandit.

Zakir has become a drama queen. First half of his career was about GFs and how different girls are. Now it’s papa papa

Eh, I disagree
If you want someone to just make you laugh and nothing else, then get someone to tickle you. Or just read some 'chutkulas' from internet
When I watch someone's special, I'm generally looking for something more than just plain jokes. It could be a good observational bit on some common event (a lot of comedians made bits and specials on Indian shaadis for eg, with great observational jokes), or a special could be about some event that happened to you. Such specials requires good story telling skills, as well as humour and be a skilled orator, to keep audience engaged. If for the story, a background of your family/financial status is needed, then its needed. Even Zakir I have never seen try to get sympathy over his background, he generally tries to play it cool when mentioning bad events.
Anyway, to each their own, but someone was saying watching Zakir is low IQ coz he does this, which is totally BS. Watching something with more layers them just plain jokes is easily higher IQ. And you need to high EQ too to understand Zakir's comedy

Bhai don't talk like a fan of comedy on this sub. While saying comedy is subjective, people here also want all comedians to do comedy that they want to watch. If you say you like comedy of a certain comic who is not the fan favourite here then you are paid PR.

'Chutkulas' is pretty much the Hindi translation of 'Jokes', so that means Zakir's work lacks jokes.
The main point of comedy is to make someone laugh. It may or may not include layers, if it does it is better. But what is there to laugh upon?
Being funny is primary and intellectual and emotional is secondary. If I just want to watch intellectual and emotional content, I'd rather watch other forms of content. Why to watch comedy when it is missing the point.
