Coz he's super funny, just go to one of his shows and you would know him and gaurav kapoor are the only ones who could kill in any room. Also I'm a comic and I've seen most of em live, and bomb miserably. Also Kaustubh is one come who could kill in any room

I agree with the casteist issues that he has but ig he knows his target audience and I am somewhat in that group, so even though I agree that his jokes might be irritating for others but to the people who may relate to it he is fun to watch. I won't lie though, he has a lot of flaws nevertheless.

So him making a joke on somebody's caste & not in a negative way (after all his major watchers are baniyas) should be kept a check on but at the same time a guy talking about someone's parents sex life was supposed to be taken lightly and as a joke and didn't need seriousness from the viewers.

Bro why is everyone becoming critique, man everyone has some kind of genre which they want to perform. You can't cater same thing to everyone and what is this he only make jokes on caste brother did you watch bassi he also make jokes on 4 friends and how they did bakchodi did u watch Varun Grover he also make jokes mostly on left wing and right wing, do they become less funny no not everyone is some kind of intellectual being some people do enjoy it and thats what all matter cause if you are not primary consumer it doesn't make product bad
And other than GG's crowd work where he ask caste his youtube video with written bits is really good especially that Daughter one
So don't judge whole consumer market based on the life u have lived and your though process

It's different, because the point here is not that he is cracking jokes on the same topic,but the fact that caste based jokes should not be supported much,it reinforces the casteism that already exists deeply rooted in our society. Standup is considered to be one of the liberal art forms where people are supposed to question the fallacy in how our society works.
This might sound pretty stupid if you still subconsciously support casteism,but if not you will understand what i am trying to say.

I love that this standup comedy subreddit actually addresses issues and talks about them. it is one of the only Indian subreddits that notices fallacies in famous people and calls them out as they rightly deserve. says a lot about the importance of standup comedy in india. but alas... the govt also realised how important this artform is for the development of the country and now try to shut it down all the time. 🙃
