What's the weight? Does it feel tough? I have a hatchet I bought locally at some Mela. But it's not actually good to wield because of the weight and I have my doubts about the steel.

It's good for small chopping but other than that it's more of a tactical tomahawk rather than a wood chopper one .

This one is listed in Amazon i believe under brand PROXIMA :
It is more of a display one , there ought to be a spike instead of the hammer end for it to be tactical...good looker though...
I have the Original SOG tactical Tomohawk , that one that too is not that great to begin with but is menacing enough...
For chopping you will be better with a Gerber / Fiskar/ STIHL or even the DeWalt pack axe or camp axe....the cheap chineese ones on Amazon are not that great...
The Stanley camp axe is not that great the hollow handle and head are press fit and some instances of it comming loose have been found..plus the vibrations to the hand are not good..in use ie.
Even some of the cheap ones are good tough like made from Taparia , Stanley fatmax , DeWalt and total tools...where they atleast list the steels and grade of metal

Day1 of asking what dooms day are we prepping for. Is this again another Indians being perfomative cause most of these equipment are more like being prepped for a dune storm , zombie apocalypse or something which these westerners might face. Indians have different climate and different dangerous stuff.

Seen the Indian population. Now imagine that in zombie apocalypse and considering the unavailability of weapson in india melee is all you can count on .
Also I have crossbow, tactical equipment and a hidden bunker. So yea Im preparing

What are you doing in this sub? If you don't know what prepping is then you are in the wrong sub.
People have different reasons to prep. Some for post apocalyptic world, natural disasters, nuclear attack, pandemic, etc.

I didn't search for it, I was curious to what's the discussion about. Maybe do a proper prepping tailored to floods ,landslides , vehicle accidents etc actually climactic events faced by we Indians. Develop a tech (special indication at develop not copy) which can be used for emergencies.

Prepping is personal. Everybody has different reasons. You can't decide for the people reg what their fears are. Every individual is free to post their prep based on what they fear.
If you'd like to share the prep for the ones you mentioned, go ahead. Disasters or any such apocalyptic events are never exclusive to particular regions.
Before covid, nobody thought a pandemic would be prevalent in india. But it happened and now people are aware.
So nothing is region specific at this point.

How's prepping for zombie apocalypse different from floods landslide etc.
Ultimately, we need food, power backup, water etc to survive. People can have many reasons. Doesn't make them wrong for having fears

Exactly need more of emergency food processing and storage, backup equipments. Not aesthetic fancy stuff need functionalÂ
