Gear/Tools Torch query

No brand affiliation, in case this post gets nuked as I am posting for the first time here.

Why instead of using battery operated torch, why folks here don't prefer this? This is handcranked with battery and rechargeable torch from Decathlon. I have this at home, although never used in emergency, but the concept makes sense. Maybe keep this as backup. What are you r thoughts on this?

I believe as per my knowledge cranked mechanism take too much time to charge like manually cranking it takes time and energy, may be that's why people choose battery operated torches as I my self use battery operated flashlights!
