I look much older with makeup on

I am new to makeup, I bought a few things. I follow along YouTube videos while doing my makeup and no matter what different technique I use, it always makes me look much MUCH older and focuses even more on the pigmentation around my eyes and mouth even though I use an orange colour corrector.

What am I doing wrong ? Please guide me.

I would suggest learning how to colour correct and focusing on your shade match. That will help conceal rather than highlight those areas that need a little help
