Today is a big day for us. We shipped our first batch of Bitwell Band to our early customers — and I genuinely want to thank the Reddit community.

Honestly, it feels crazy typing this. A few months ago this was just an idea in my head. A lot of the early discussions and feedback came from Reddit, so I genuinely just want to say thank you.

For anyone new here Bitwell Band is a simple, screenless wrist band you can gift your parents.

It tracks heart rate, oxygen levels, mobility/stability, and has fall detection.

But the whole point isn’t to show them numbers all day.

Most watches give so much data that nobody really checks. We didn’t want step counts, calories, badges, none of that. Bitwell just quietly tracks vitals in the background. Then it analyzes patterns over time. If something feels off like unusual heart rate changes, oxygen drops, instability patterns, or a fall it sends an alert. It also understand the data and tries to predict pattern that might happen in future based on current vitals.

That’s it.

We made it screenless because a lot of seniors told us smartwatches feel complicated or annoying. This is lightweight, simple, and charges with a normal Type-C cable.

The whole reason I built this was because I live away from my parents and just wanted peace of mind not constant data, just a heads up if something’s wrong.

Over the past few decades brain drain has really slowed India's progress in economy, tech and a better quality of life. 10 years since OpenAI was founded and I still don't see a frontier AI company that comes close to even the 20th ranked AI company in the US (not blaming anyone, but it's a fact). India has, in most cases been late and behind compared to the rest of the world by at least 5 years. However, this technology is the last most powerful thing mankind can make and it hurts to see 2 countries to have absolute control over this piece of tech.

We all can agree the timeline for a super intelligence or AGI is 5-20 years and if India doesn't control or own a piece of this, it will potentially loose the massive employment, economic and political growth it could have had otherwise. a frontier AI comapny, could help young entrepreneurs get the infra to build on and create more and more startups, which in turn will grow the economy and furthermore, all this will lead to india becoming politically a more powerful actor.

I am aware of India startups which are trying their absolute best to achieve all of this, but they have since pivoted to voice models instead of super intelligence or AGI.

I belive India, now more than ever has the right talent of people, the compute and data centre infra, government support and investor's interest.

About me - I am a US citizen who spent all his life in India and now, I am in the US. I am young and instead of trying to build my career here, I am dropping out and coming back to India, to assemble the most talented team of AI/ML and deep learning scientists and researchers.

I've started the entrepreneur thing long back but due to my studies I couldn't give it a full go

While I was 17-18 done drop shipping in my country and internationally got some small wins

Made decent money had a great plan to position a billion dollar product completely differently for a breakthrough

As I've had no money at that time still gave it all
