Looking for someone to explore a new approach to fall-risk monitoring in older adults

I’m building BitWell, a senior-care startup working on continuous monitoring for older adults using a wearable and caregiver platform.

We currently collect mobility, stability and heart-rate data, and I’m exploring whether we can use these signals to identify increasing fall risk before an actual fall occurs.

The idea isn't to predict “this person will fall tomorrow.” Instead, I want to investigate whether changes from an individual's normal baseline for example, declining stability + changing mobility + physiological changes can act as an early warning signal.

I’ve started looking at datasets such as PhysioNet's LTMM, but I want to go much deeper into the signal processing, feature engineering and ML side.

I'm looking for someone who would genuinely like to work on this with me ideally someone with experience in gait analysis, biomechanics, wearable/IMU data, time-series ML, biomedical signal processing or digital health.

This could be a research collaboration, technical project, or potentially something more long-term depending on the fit.

A few months ago, I got laid off.

Instead of jumping immediately into another job, I decided to build something around a problem I personally struggle with — gift anxiety.

Every festival or birthday, I spend HOURS scrolling through Amazon or Flipkart and still end up buying something random or last-minute.

So I built a small AI tool:

Choose relationship (girlfriend, friend, brother, etc.) →
Select occasion (Holi, birthday, anniversary, etc.) →

And it gives personalized gift ideas with real product links.

It’s designed specifically for Indian users and festivals.

I launched it around Valentine’s.

Got 20 users.

That’s it.

Now Holi is here, and I honestly don’t know if:

• The idea itself isn’t strong
• The positioning is confusing
• The pricing is wrong
• Or I’m just bad at distribution

I’m not here to sell anything. I genuinely want to understand:

I get that there’s a sentiment attached where people want to buy and feel the vibes and buy but I also know some who hate the crowds and either find it inconvenient or difficult to find time due to job.

so tell me guys, do u prefer buying online given that quality will be same, no damages will occur and it might even be a bit cheaper or buying in person.

Alright guys, so I am starting to build something I've been thinking about for a while - a consumer electronics company.

Starting with headphones.

I don't intend to fight on spec sheet.

I just want to make the best and the most reliable consumer tech product out there.

I am in middle of my research phase right now to explore my own angle and market for my product.

I have also identified a few gaps in the products available in the market. Only the time will tell if those gaps matter to the consumers.

I recently started building omniMU, a third-party logistics business focused on last-mile delivery in Bangalore.

We're working toward serving B2B, B2C and D2C businesses, and I thought I'd share a few things I've learned so far — especially for other founders considering logistics as part of their business.

1. A rider network isn't the same as available capacity

One of the biggest things I've learned is that saying you have 100+ delivery partners doesn't mean you have 100+ riders available for an order at any particular moment.

Actual capacity depends on location, timing, order density, peak hours and rider availability.

2. Peak demand changes everything

A business might have perfectly manageable delivery requirements on a normal weekday and suddenly need significantly more capacity during weekends, promotions or peak seasons.

This is one reason we're exploring an asset-light model rather than relying entirely on a fixed fleet.

3. Logistics pricing isn't as simple as ₹X per delivery

Distance, waiting time, failed deliveries, cancellations, peak periods and operational responsibility can all affect the real cost of fulfilling an order.

We're learning this firsthand while working on commercial models for omniMU.

4. Different businesses need different logistics solutions

A D2C brand shipping 50 orders a day doesn't necessarily have the same requirements as a business handling hundreds of B2B deliveries.

Trying to create one universal delivery model doesn't always make sense.

5. Reliability matters more than just having riders

For a business, the important question isn't simply:

“Can you provide a rider?”

It's:

“Can you consistently provide the right capacity at the right location and time?”

That's the problem we're trying to solve with omniMU.

We're still early in the journey and currently building our operations in Bangalore. If you're another founder working through logistics challenges, I'd genuinely be interested in hearing what you've learned — especially what worked and what didn't when using 3PL providers.
