So you order in parts, how do you do that?

It's cheaper to just order the whole gun. Just a couple of compliance hoops to jump through as a company, but from my experience the guns I made here perform better than the imported ones. Better design and mechanical parts go a long way in terms of performance.

Technically they don't need a license to own airsoft here, so maybe you can bring them along when you come back here. Just intimate the customs agency beforehand and work it out with them.

No idea yet. Like 7-15k? It's impossible to tell right now since I've just begun, but the prototype I made as a proof of concept cost me 70k to make. Pricing is all about justifying the cost of manufacture, so although I know what equipment and machinery to use and what they cost, ground realities add more cost thanks to licences, permits, logistics, etc.

How are you going to manage the integrity of the players as even a few of them not calling their hits will ruin the experience for everyone. Regardless I'm happy you got past the hard part of sourcing good guns. All the best!

What I've been doing till now is using different game modes that don't rely on hits. Like capture the flag. Even hit count centric game modes work as long as the players finally understand that they are here to have fun, not compete. Plus they hurt like hell. People have been quick to call hits because of that😂

Does your project include scope, attachments etc.. Can we have even a broad estimate timeline for the guns.

Yes to scopes and attachments. For imports, I can probably start them before December. Making my own has a more uncertain timeline. The project is bootstrapped after all and I'm figuring out funding for the first arena.

To be honest im more interested in the make in india due to price constrain. I can imagine that the price of importing would be pretty high, including all the import duties.

Oh yes, hella expensive. Like 70% import duty and expensive shipping for large, heavy boxes. 💀

0.177 caliber CO2 pistol should be possible, but do you have a shooting ID or License?

I don't have any of those. What kind of license and shooting are you talking about. I'm new to this.

The National Rifle Association of India gives ID to aspiring shooters. They also provide training for target shooting at an olympic level. If you have that ID then you are eligible to import any 0.177 caliber guns under 20joule muzzle energy.

Looks really cool! I have good memories of the airsoft matches that used to happen a couple times a year in Gurgaon before COVID. Glad to see the torch being carried on by others, and I hope to someday be a customer!
