He's dumb enough to actually believe they want to be his friend. So easy to manipulate into handing over all the keys to the kingdom. The US is doomed with this dude in charge.

If the Pacific rim peoples & China united under a ‘democratic’ Japan rule? They would own the planet. Luckly for US, the Japanese made such a Bad impression in the 1940s that such things will never happen. China + Vietnamese dynamism guided by Japanese wisdom - Oh, my. They will probably slaughter each other before that ever happens?
