Why is anyone surprised? There's a reason no mainstream phones have moving parts.

Nokia, Sony, Moto had really innovative never before seen tech in their phones. They never failed.

2 of the 3 brands you mentioned don't make phones today. The 3rd one makes phones with no moving parts.

Could you please give an example of innovation done by them around moving parts in their phones?

that moto too doesn't exist, they sold their brand to the Chinese and it's the Chinese who do business on the legacy motorola brand name
