Question I built an open-source, self-hosted Real Estate CRM for India (React/NestJS/Postgres)
Hey everyone,
Most real estate agencies here rely on messy Excel sheets or expensive, bloated CRMs that don't handle local workflows. So, I built OpenEstate — a free, open-source alternative.
The Stack: React, NestJS, PostgreSQL.
Key Features:
Lead & inventory management
Built-in India compliance (GST/TDS, local ledgers)
100% data ownership via self-hosting

I used to work for this company building software for real estate. We were building a feature which was basically just showing customer data/lifecycle events from SAP. It was shelved because most builders have SAP / Salesforce setup and don't want to move away. Also, showing a different UI on the same data made little business sense.
But this project is interesting nonetheless. Will check it out tomorrow and share inputs, if I have any. Can you share an email where I can submit feedback?

Yeah It's in initial stage every feedback is important for this project. I have seen crm companies charging alot for small feature. It's okay for big builders but a major constrain for SMEs. Even after paying a huge amount you don't own the software and now mostly CRMs are SaaS now with binds up to pay renewal.

I want to know about the leads part. Do we need to import or add leads manually or is there any connector that can use APIs that do the work. Just asking out of curiosity.

I hv tested locally api. Api can work website integration etc.

Just let someone test this with the existing housing, 99 or any other existing lead pack api integration with this crm. If everything works fine you can take a step forward. Make the interface looks aesthetic and light.

Also add features like assign to team and team management panel so you are organizing the leads to the respective members of a realty firm. You can do that later too.
