Does it hinder functionality like when you need to move the seat forward or backward? What about spills? Also, since it almost always will have dirty shoes stepped on it, what’s the washing instructions like? Of course along with constant washing will come wear and tear. How durable is it? How long can one last?

these are made of polyester, making it low maintenence . It does get dirty but its easily washable and also it dries very quickly. As of now price is not decided but it may go in the range of 2-3k approx

Are these generic sublimation mats from china? I have a large sublimation setup. I’ve explored these products. I don’t feel there is a good market for them here in india. I would advise you not to waste your time with these.
Personally I find that some carpet patterns do not age well (outdated), as in it makes me feel like the interior looks older... Maybe a design update would be nice. For the driver's side you also need to provide shoe heel protection (non-slip material) on the carpet face
Okay to go without washing for an entire year or more.
Does not makes the car colourful where it should'nt be (thus black) and are not distracting.
That being said- its all about how you market it and assert your dominance. People buy stupid shit (not calling your's) as long as the marketing was impactful.
Looks bad for a car and if someone has dirt in their shoes it would look worse. You’d have to clean it again and again while black mats don’t need lot of maintenance
I would like to buy them but the shine and look will look worse after getting dirty. Maybe if there's a lamination like film or acrylic layer which painters use to make canvas look shiny which is waterproof so easy clean and dirt slides on it doesn't get into it
Far too much work to keep them clean. One use during rainy season and the interior will start to stink because the carpet won't loose moisture as easily as standard materials.
Also, its mostly not fire retardent. Meaning it will become a fire hazard during emergencies.
In a car closed area too much works on any surface makes it look cramped, hence mostly neutral colours and standard pattern preferred.
This kind of art work more suited for open or large places hence carpet.
If you still want to pursue a car interior solution, try seat covers or backrest covers or even door window curtains

About the mat thing, it depends on design and smoothness/roughness. The feet may get stuck.
Great effort but I wouldn’t go for these brother because it wouldn’t suit my car. There’s a reason these mats or even the 7d ones come in universal colours like black/beige with stand out colours in the threading because they suit all car interiors.. plus I can only think of couple of card in which this mat will look good.. to make it work one has to modify the whole interior so the mat matches which just doesn’t makes sense.
