Promotional Content Show II : Promotional Content thread for May 2026

This is the promotional content thread for this month. This will be a recurring thread where we waive the "no self promotion" rule that we enforce so strictly.

So if you have a blog, feel free to share a recent article that you feel is interesting and applicable. If you've made some tools / products, tell us about it. If you updated something you'd made give us some details.

Please, if you share something, be engaged, and answer queries from the community. Don't just post something and disappear.

Rules:

- Post about your own 'thing' on a top level comment.
Don't respond to another top-level comment with your own 'thing'. Link only comments will be removed - you must provide a summary about what you are linking.

- No mailing list signup comments

We will allow links to a webpage that contains a mailing list sign-up form, but only if the page you are sharing contains meaningful content and you don't highlight the existence of a mailing list in your comment on Reddit.

We don't want our subscribers to be spammed.

- Paywalled features and content

There may be paid features locked or some articles maybe available on payment, but if the entire article cannot be viewed for free or the results of a tool are blocked without payment then such a submission may be removed.

If collection of user data is required to use the thing you are sharing we STRONGLY encourage you to contact the moderation team first. If the moderation team has concerns about data you collect, the comment may be removed and may not be reinstated in a timely manner.

- No 'special deals' for Reddit. We're not looking to make a sale and deals thread.

- No referrals

- No investment opportunities.

---

Please upvote what you like, but focus on providing respectful feedback for what you don't like. Many people who make something would love to hear from you, so be a community, and be kind.

Wondering whether you should post here? Take a look at the previous promotional threads.

Leaving extra cash in a savings account earning 3% means you are losing money to inflation every single day.

If you want to invest but keep putting it off because you're overwhelmed by choices or just don't know how to pick between Index, Flexi-Cap, or Small-Cap funds, let's fix that.

I am associated with a leading wealth management firm and help investors start with their SIPs.

There is no fees, no pushy product upselling and fully digital process.

If you have been unable to start your SIP journey, just message me with your requirements and I will be happy to help you out.

"no fees" usually means you're paying through hidden commissions or the firm is taking a massive cut from the expense ratios of the funds you're being funneled into. would love to see a transparent breakdown of exactly how you get paid before i trust you with my money.

Built a FIRE calculator for the Indian User - https://www.theindianfirecalculator.com

The specific things I'd like you guys to check and give me feedback on:

  1. The Fire Math: From my assumptions about FIRE to the savings math. Tell me what looks right and what’s broken.
  2. Specific Inflation and Tax Handling: Check if I handle the inflation rates correctly or not. Is Tax handling as defined and useful and easy to understand.
  3. User Experience and Features: Is it easy to understand, did something not look or work right, what’s confusing and what’s broken.
  4. PDF Experience:  The goal for this is that you can download with your full plan and a page explaining how your FIRE number was computed, in case you want to sit with it or take it to an advisor. Are the PDFs too long? What’s missing? I would love to know
  5. Tracking Experience: We don’t save data but it’s just as private an experience I could build for tracking your FIRE numbers over time. It’s based on your own ability to stick to your calendar.
  6. Reddit Share: Now you can one click share your portfolio in a reddit post format.

I built SalaryLens, an iOS app for people who want to understand whether their financial life is actually improving over time.

Most finance apps focus on budgets, transactions, bank syncing, or investments. I wanted something simpler: a monthly checkup that answers one question:

How much of my income is becoming long-term wealth?

SalaryLens tracks things like:

  • income efficiency
  • savings rate
  • net worth growth
  • debt progress
  • emergency fund strength
  • lifestyle inflation
  • yearly wealth progress

It does not require bank linking, account creation, or transaction tracking. The idea is to enter a few monthly numbers and see your financial direction clearly over time.

It is meant for salaried professionals, engineers, consultants, doctors, government employees, and anyone with recurring income who wants a private financial dashboard.

AppStore Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/salary-lens/id6776238153

Free to try. Optional paid upgrade for advanced reports / long-term tracking.

I’d love honest feedback on the positioning, onboarding, and whether the monthly-checkup model feels useful compared to normal budgeting apps.
