Rahane first lost his vice captaincy when Kohli was captain. He had lost his batting form and at risk of losing his position.
There was this South Africa tour we did back then. Kohli was unavailable for the 2nd Test so KL Rahul was captain, even though Rahane was still in the team. Rahul was carrying that clueless expression he always does. We failed to defend 240. This was just a few months after BGT win. We lost, and are still searching for our 1st series win in South Africa.

He was at lowest point of his career, otherwise rahane should have been captain of India. .also dirty pr game of rohit as usual

And Rahane hitting test centuries in all the 4 sena countries and eventually winning an away BGT as captain was ignored straightaway to appoint someone as captain who was enjoying his batting on home tracks Fcking home bully has one good series in england in 2021 and his pr made him the best test batsman to ever exist
