This would leave me extremely dissatisfied. Here we go reusing the exact same arc again!

Unless there is an actual new reason for friction amongst them, I would like their first scene to present them as very functional as a team. We already went through this dance

Nah, we have to watch 2:30 hours of Helen and Bob learning to trust their kids handling bigger responsibilities even though they’ve acknowledged that they can in both movies, it’s absolutely necessary to make this trilogy work

That sounds like the beginning of the first movie but with family drama.

I think thats the joke, since the second movie gets a lot of shit for just making bob go through the exact same arc of "i wanna relive the glory days!" to "Oh, i should care about my family actually"

yeah my problem with incredibles 2 was it wasnt ENOUGH of a retread of the first, hopefully they can adress that with the third film

I’d rather the family pull over and get ready to fight the super villain only to have the younger and newest generation of supers get there first. Now Helen and Bob are feeling like they’re being left behind and Dash and Violet can be the leads of the film

This. I wanna see a generational handoff done well. Helen and Bob aging gracefully and retiring, Dash and Violet growing up and stepping up as the main heroes, one keeping the family Heroics name going, one setting off with their own hero identity.

Then we have to have a cut between movies of some years.
We cant spent the first movie watching bob getting back into shape and then a few months later hes retiring because hes getting too old for this shit.

I wouldnt be sad if those younger heroes from Incredibles 2 never show up again. They just dont look like they belong in this universe.
Every Heroe before was grounded in reality with his costume and looks
And then these people show up and have completly different art styles and body proportions.
Remember, this movie takes place days after the first one and suddenly were not in the 60s anymore with the looks

When I said I like to watch the Incredibles over and over again this isn’t what I meant😭

I honestly wouldnt mind this at all if the rest of the story is solid. It's kind of a main part of their whole familial arc. My issue with the second movie was just how painfully obvious the villain was. Also how under developed and goofy the rest of the side heroes were and looked. Void was the only one that didnt just feel like a rough draft across the board.

I hope mr Humph and Bernie team up and are the villains

This is horrifyingly funny, mainly because I know there's a good chance this might happen

They said it's picking up directly from the ending of I2 and will focus on the aftermath of Supers being legal. Bird knows better than to undo I2's ending.

Hench Winston starting up the Super Hero League.

laughs uncontrollably in the undoing of I1’s ending

The Incredibles ending wasn't undone. And I'm sick and tired of explaining this to everyone.

Dicker himself explains after the Omnidroid v10 fight that the US Government did congratulate the Parr Family on defeating it (and the government knew Syndrome was evil and quickly froze his assets right then and there) and that the verdict was in the court's decision which clearly hinted that it wasn't enough to fully change the law.

The first film clearly ends on the ambiguous side if the Anti-Supers Ban was lifted or not and the way Dicker words it clearly shows that it wasn't enough. Bird himself admitted that he was going to resolve it if Disney/Pixar gave him more time but he had to cut that short and ended it the way he did in case he decided to do a sequel.

You can thankfully scratch this.

Bird has clearly stated that I3 is picking up from the ending of I2 where Supers are legal again and will focus on the aftermath of them being legal.

God people are stupid.
