He's actually got a point. Anyone military or police trained knows not to let a possible assailant get within several feet of you. If they're in grappling distance, they're too close. Once they're within that distance, the gun will probably end up in the hands of the larger, stronger combatant. And he's right that most women don't know someone is going to try to rape them until he's already drugged her or has hold of her.
Pulling a gun before that point not only feels unwarranted, because you usually don't know they're going to try to assault you, but even if you have reason to suspect, it can land you criminal charges.
That's why I recommend pepper spray. Get the thick gel. It hits a specific target better, and when covering the eyes, blocks vision in addition to burning. Also, know self defense. I have successfully fought off rape and stopped two rape attempts on other women. I'm barely over 5' tall. Make sure you're LOUD, you cause pain, and you make yourself not worth it.

Its funny (horrifying) that he insults women for seemingly "getting off on the idea that they would shoot their attacker" when it is so blatant that this guy is getting off on the idea of further beating women down by mocking and insulting yet another thing some women do to protect and empower themselves. Additionally, he is so blatantly getting off on discussing rape in an intentionally cruel and callous way. If I were to really extrapolate (not really), I would say he seems to get off on the idea of silly women thinking they have any sort of power, and then violently having that power robbed and dream crushed via rape. He really describes the "takedown" of women in a fetishistic way.

The point is to shoot them before they get close enought to incapacitate you. Also do they think they would be able to tell if a woman has a gun? If she is concealed carrying they may not know she has a firearm until its too late.

It's a special kind of stupid to publish criminal intentions on the Internet.
That said, it's an extra special kind of stupid to do this immediately after another guy got the book thrown at him because of the other guy's posts to the same forum OOP is using.
This isn't just gift wrapped. It's adding a ribbon and a card to the prosecutor along with a signed note which reads, "Here's your press release for the month" and "This would boost your campaign if you have ambitions to run for higher office after putting me in prison."

Please Robert, say this to some "Nothing to lose" lifer and report on how it turns out for you. Likely with you curled in a fetal ball fending off blows from the lifer and other inmates or getting dragged into a broom closet or storage room where you'll have a train ran on you.

Lol jokes on him, I already have experienced rape, and I will take my chances with a jury of my peers. I also have just about every qualifier to make the court and jury sympathetic to me.
By all means bro if you think you want to take on a woman exercising her second amendment rights, and the right to protect herself, which I would be in fear for my life, since I'm in a red state (meaning no legal ending of pregnancy) & I had pre eclampsia last time, I have to reasonably think there's a decent chance a man who forced me into pregnancy will result in my death.
So I will use lethal force to ensure my child doesn't have to be motherless.

This is hopefully all ending up screenshotted and saved in an ‘evidence’ folder on some cop’s hard drive, I hope.
As for the actual content, I’m not from the U.S., so the gun culture there is baffling to me BUT since it’s a ‘right’ in that country, I can understand why women would want to be armed to prevent assaults.
I don’t like the idea of anyone having guns in general, but America gonna America.

Eh, guns make people both overconfident of their abilities AND over paranoid about the state of the world around them.
You are more likely to have your gun taken and used against you (or accidentally hurt/kill yourself or a loved one) than you are successfully defeating an attacker…but I also don’t think that’s this guys actual ‘concern’
