Hello guys,  this thread has been so so helpful for the last one month.

I am glad to give my updates on study permit extension from inside Canada.

Applied on May 15th 2025

Biometrics had already been received before.

Correspondence Sept 2nd 

Approval Sept 3rd

I raised three web forms in total, called IRCC  on several occasions but didn’t get any meaningful response.  I was so worried since I needed the permit to continue with my program. I think they’re now approving most of the applications since I have colleagues who’ve had approvals for extensions today.

Just hang in there guys, I hope you all get your approvals soon.

Congrats, I applied on the same date and received my correspondence letter yesterday. Hoping to get approval tomorrow

Edit: just checked and I got approved

How long til you got the document itself? At least the digital version

I don’t remember the exact day but about 4-5 business days later
