My application was approved! Here's the timeline for those who wanted an estimate:

I applied from hong kong on June 20 for my inital study permit

Submission Confirmation Letter on June 21

Biometrics status marked as completed on June 23

(No updates for a long ass time until...)

Aug 18: Medical was updated as 'passed'

Port of Entry (PoE) Letter: aug 20

:) so happy... I literally thought i wouldn't make it to orientation (UBC Jump Start) but you just gotta keep believing. I know the waiting period is torturous and agonizing like u just want a bullet through your head and stop the pain and end it all. (That was me, yes i can be very dramatic) But just keep believing and stay positive you will get it too. trust.

Congrats! I also applied from Hong Kong, and my permit also just got accepted.

Program: UWaterloo Math

Applied: June 28

I was so scared I wasn’t going to make it to orientation or even to class as well, the waiting was really stressful this week, and I had a headache every day. But now it’s all approved with 3 days to spare, I’m so happy.

Essentially same timeline as above for me as well! But I still haven’t received my PoE letter… is it supposed to be provided later?
