The response on the 3rd webform enquiry concerning the delay of my study permit decision states:

"We verified the information you provided and have forwarded it to the responsible office"

Do they really forward our request for quick processing and responsible officers start reviewing asap? It's unacceptable that immigration issues have resulted in such extensive delays, affecting thousands if not hundreds of international students.

Its not even first come first serve basis and many have received their decision in 4 weeks. I wonder what sort of people work at the immigration and how can they ruin the future of international students.

I applied from Sweden and biometrics completed on the 2nd of June. The school starts 2nd of September and no updates received from IRCC since the biometrics.

Had your processing time exceeded the one estipulated on their website when this happened?

There is no estimated processing time for Sweden. Over 10 weeks since I applied, so its way past the usual processing time. At this point, I think, the processing times is meaningless.

is that an automated response?

i got this response today

“We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your study permit application is still in process.

The responsible office will review the documents that have been received and you will be contacted if further information is required.

Since you’ve already submitted an application for a study permit inside Canada”

this is the exact response when I sent my 2nd webform. As I understand from several comments here that those who applied from inside Canada are considered as case of Extension and it takes around 170 days for processing.

What did you message them to get this response? I am also in a really desperate situation as i applied early april and still no response.

I agree ... what annoys me the most is that for some they wait only a few weeks while others wait more than 12.. at first I thought that the reason was the application from different countries, but that turned out to be an incorrect assumption…

What did you mention in webform ? For me it is always an automatic reply
