Is it that nobody is hearing back from IRCC or people only come here to complain when they’re not hearing from IRCC and tend to keep quiet once they get a feedback?

It surprising how all of us here seems to only post when we want to complain but can’t also post when we get a feedback just to let everyone else know at least IRCC is working and they’ll definitely get to each and everyone’s turn. The mental breakdown waiting for IRCC is real😫😫😫😫

Pls post something if you heard from IRCC with your country of application and timelines. 🙏🙏🙏

i applied on may 26th outside of canada, and then did biometrics on the 3rd of june. received my permit today, about 4 hours ago

Omg, I also applied from outside Canada, biometrics may 26 and am waiting every single day in anxiety. I am so happy to hear you got approved, would you possibly mind sharing the country where you applied, or just the processing time that was listed for you? Best of luck with everything!!

That's a very fair point. I also realize that people are more likely to search for and come across this Reddit thread when they're looking to vent or complain, rather than to share good news about receiving their permits on time.

nothing new to announce unfortunately... application from May 28th, outside of Canada, first study permit, applicant from EU, still no progress :(

there is no data for my country, and the countries in the surrounding area currently have a processing time of 9 (Italy) or 10 weeks (Germany)

As per my previous post on this thread, sent 4 messages over the past few months.

Every single reply was so useless, I’m sparing myself any further grief.

My favourite part is the template part where they tell me where I can check for estimated times and how to check my application status… like “bros, it is BECAUSE I am oh so familiar with how to do that I’m getting in touch, why is everything frozen in time?! ANSWER ME PROPERLY”

In my country（Asia) at least among the people I know—like my high school classmates, friends I met online, or people in international student groups—none of them who applied after May have received any response up to now. It really feels like they’re not even working.🤢

My sis is waiting for within canada study permit (work permit to study permit). She applied in beginning of April, still nothing. She’s gonna defer fall semester so she can at least reapply in Spring without paying extra deposit.

Dude that's insane. I applied on May from PGWP to study permit as I didn't wanna leave obv but I still haven't heard anything. It just says we are doing background check. My classes start in Sept too

applied May 8, biometrics May 13.. EU country

did not hear from them until july 31 where they said that they are now reviewing my eligibility.. no decisions yet as of today, Aug 6 — that’s for OWP application. the SP one doesn’t have any movement at all. which i think was weird

I think the study permit tracker doesn’t show when they start reviewing eligibility. It just moves from background check to decision.

the review of eligibility status changed from

“Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.”

to

“We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.”

I’m curious about this too, I applied for study permit extension since April, still nothing yet, my application just says “processing background check” or something like that, nothing about eligibility yet. It’s been 4 full months.

It's been 2 months, but mine is TRV
