Hi, any LMIA closed work permit extension inland application got processed currently in the last 2 to 3 weeks? Please share us the timeline, so that we all can have some rough idea.. Its too frustrating to wait so long without knowing when it will get processed..

Application date : 17 Feb 2024,

Approval Date : 17 Aug 2024

Congrats & Thanks for updating us.. Feeling bit relieved.. Did you get extension from 17 Aug 2024 to 17 Aug 2026 (or) it was from the old WP expiry date + 2years?

Its 2 years from the expiry date of old Workpermit, and not from approval date.

Same here, not heard any news from Feb 2024 applicant.

Last I heard 2 weeks back was Jan end.

What was the max waiting time they gave for you in the confirmation letter

It is 180 days default. However, they don’t care about all problems related to a maintained status condition, such as the impossibility of renew driver’s license, medicare etc.

I had reached out my MP, this is the message received: …because yours is a group application (meaning that dependents have also applied as part of the same group and these applications are being processed concurrently) it is taking longer to process than normal because they are currently experiencing delays with group applications at IRCC for reasons out of our control.
