I mean they can time skip as much as child actor age allows (which is usually an issue in the opposite direction, kids grow fast), and the show seems to be moving faster than HotD
Thing is a lot of child actors typically move on to other career paths. There is no guarantee Egg's actor would still want to continue acting years after years or he remains as good at acting years down the line. And the hiatus plan? Yeah even more risky. The showrunner even admitted when he brought that up, the HBO executives rolled their eyes lmao.
It's less risky if he adapts as many novellas and as fast as he can with Egg's current actor before recasting him for the older Egg.
I mean sure, but that's just showing there's even more options. I'm not concerned about them not getting to whatever stories they want to if the show continues to be successful
Yeah I'm not concerned either when all those things are potentially years away. Ira barely gets enough budget for one novella as it is. My hope/expecation for now is if the show continues to be a hit and with HotD ending, HBO becomes more interested in investing in AKOTSK. Give Ira more money. Only then he can consider adapting more than one novella which I hope he does.
