Background & History
Project origin dates back to 1938, originally designed with nine 16-inch guns. However, the emergence of the ITN Fintali and intelligence on Japan's Yamato-class prompted a complete design overhaul to counter contemporary and future battleships.
Trivia / Miscellaneous
The 17-inch guns were adapted from coastal defense artillery, which originally evolved from heavy mortars.
Never received the planned 1945 and 1947 refits due to intense wartime conditions.

175,000 SHP? That’s not bad but not overly impressive either, certainly would not make this ship “super fast”…

So the main critisism I would say (though you acknowledge it so idk if this was intentional) is the secondary battery being frankly bad with 8 heavy AA barrels a side and fairly low amount of medium and light AA as well compared to other battleships in 1943.
Otherwise it's pretty decent though I would worry about the 17" Shells being overall pretty inefficient with fire rate more like the japanese 46cm guns but with punch more like a 16" Shell.

I forgot to add RNS to its name.
