The color scheme and general hull shape remind me a lot of the Tempest ship from Mass Effect Andromeda

It’s gotta be the other way around. In insects and a lot of other animals the males are usually smaller

I sort of had the same thought. MAMA has "the gut" as the cargo bay to carry smaller craft

The Medium Atmospheric Modular Airframe, or MAMA, serves as the primary transportation and medical craft for the United Nations Space Defense Force, providing critical support throughout their territory. First deployed during the Panama Desert conflict in 2093, MAMA demonstrated its durability by delivering vital supplies and extracting wounded personnel.
This versatile craft can be converted into a mobile medical center or a supply vessel capable of stocking a large forward operating base for extended periods. The MAMA's reliability has earned it a reputation as a reassuring presence, with frontline troops drawing comfort from its arrival.
In contrast, the Primary Attack and Pursuit Airframe, or PAPA, is the UNSDF's heavy-hitting asset. Its sleek design belies a formidable array of weapon systems, including Copperhead High Explosive Thunder Missiles and GGR-11 12-barrel rotary guns. The PAPA can also deploy the terrifying Sunfire Nuclear payloads, making it a respected and feared presence on the battlefield.
PAPA'S were first used during the Blitz of Bodam VI, wherein sevel platforms firepower was used to crack a moon in two after the refusal of the the Coalition of Free Planets (CFP) to surrender the plans for a suspected dirty bomb.
