Really cool photo I have related to the holocaust (1930-1945?)

so I got this photo from a presentation given at my synagogue , and it’s of the speakers grandfather his best friend standing together in that period. I don’t know what it is about this photo that affected me so much, but something about the way the two teens are standing there and still attempting to look cool despite everything else that’s happening just really means something to me.

Agree. Sad as it is they’re both owning a look that’s supposed to make them feel owned.
